Everyone has music they really don't want to admit listening to. That's a false statement.

yeah, im with PID... people being so defensive about what music they listen to, or trying to give the illusion that they stick solely to one--more fitting--genre... is much lamer than just admitting that you listen to stuff that people wouldnt expect you to listen to
****, i own and often listen to Kelly Clarkson's first album... wheres the problem in that

So what? What's with the mentality that you have to have one 'core' that you listen to? I like music. That, sir, is not allowed.

If you sincerely like something, you shouldn't be ashamed to say it.

I don't even worry about it. Along with other odd stuff, my music collection consists of Madonna, Abba, Gwen Stefani, Boyz II Men, Elton John, Michael Bolton, and George Michael. He thinks Justin and Nelly are gay... and you go and upstage him with uber gay Elton and George Michael... lol. Well, i am into a lot of rock/metal (Machine Head, Metallica, Trivium, Bullet For My Valentine, Fightstar) but i do like a bit of Take That, Rhianna and The Fray.

Elton John has forgotten more about good songwriting than anyone in Trivium will ever know.

I listen to mainly Rock and Metal. But I do listen to some Tina Turner, Madonna and stuff like that. I blame my mom for that.
