Well since its close to Halloween, might as well do this.. anyways what do yall think of this movie.. I think some parts were intellectually- disabled but i also thought it was scary.. like when i was younger,, I thought the camera shots and tapes were actually real and it freaked me out.. Its a low budget scary movie.. well it was freaky but now that I look back on it, some parts are still scary but not as much

I've never really cared for it. To be honest, most people despise the sequel, but I enjoyed the sequel more than the original.

I watched this movie as a kid once, the whole thing never scared me at all. At the very end of the movie, the logo flashes with a DUN DUN out of no where, and i flew up from the floor and onto the couch in one seated leap.

I loved this and Book of Shadows. Yes, I got totally caught up in the Blair Witch/Sixth Sense craze of 1999.

i've never actually seen it, but i'm planning on getting around to it before october ends. I like most halloween type movies, this one really never seemed like something i'd like very much.

For what it was, the movie was far from bad.
Not a classic, not a stinker.

Well I watched it thinking the footage was real... it was really well acted. Its still scary to me... and I dont get scared easy from scary movies. Mainly cause I know they aint real. But theres something about the movie thats close to real life.

I remember when it first came to PPV I saw it, and I was expecting gore, death, documentary dismemberment....boy was I let down.
I give it points for originality, and the fact that they made it for like $30,000 (still don't know where they spent the money...), but other than that, it's nothing really special. Another lame ghost/witch story, saved by the fact that it was presented in an original way.
Looking back on it now though, it seems like a bad reality TV show.

It left you with too many unanswered questions.
Too damn many.

I remember going into the theater thinking how scared I was going to be as the trailer had me freaked out.
I remember leaving the theater bored and disappointed. I didn't find it scary and the camera jumpiness got on my nerves. I also thought it was confusing as hell.
The real entertainment were all the morons in the theater before the movie started insisting the footage we were about to see was real.

I remember I questioned if it was real or not at the time. I was in 6th grade at the time. After I found out for sure that it was not real from my friend aaron who's dad owned a theatre in town I was told not too tell anyone. I remember so many kids thinking it was real back then. I liked it at the time, and I watched the sequel a few years later and liked that movie quite a bit as well. does anyone remember the video games? they came in a trilogy but I never played them, I've just heard about them numerous times.

The movie was horrible. It was the first one I've seen where I actively hoped to see the entire cast massacred before its end.
I went to see it in the theater with my then-fiancee the weekend it came out, with the place packed out, and I don't believe anyone was scared. At the end, people were booing (which I have never seen before or since at a movie). On the way out, I saw a lot of people lining up for a refund.
BWP was a complete waste of time.

Not the best movie, but I applaud anyone who goes out and does something that's not being done by everyone else.
Plus, I liked the ending a lot.
