Watched the first Saw tonight. Such a brilliant film. Just truly, wonderful. Now, due to not starting my marathon until late, I'm moving on to IV, V and VI. Ahh that sucks. Have to pass up II and III? Yeah . I could fit them in, but I'm busy all of Thursday, and seeing Saw 3D on Friday, so just wont have time. That's fine, they wont really factor in to the 7th. I'm sure when Saw 3D is out on Blu-Ray, Lionsgate may release a box set of them all, which I'll just get and watch.

Oh I bet they plan on milking the series dry! Box sets, Directors Cuts, new transfers with new features. You name it!

Well, I figured I would be working, but since I now have no job, I'm not sure what's going on Halloween night. I guess I'll be going to see Suffocation and The Faceless at the Whiskey with my roommate. Nothing better to do for $10.

I guess I should try to watch Trick R Treat again. Everyone here seems to like it. I tried watching it around Halloween last year and fell asleep. Not necessarily because of the movie, more cause I was tired, but I never tried to finish it because what little bit I saw of it didn't really have me that interested.

Yeah, you definitely need to scope it James, think it's something you'd really like.

Am I the only one who didn't think Trick R' Treat was all that?

You know I watched the first three Saw's in 2007 in succession with a friend and then watched IV on DVD right before I saw V in theaters in 08. And now I'm watching VI for the first time because it's streaming on Netflix (and the first time i've watched any of them in two years) and damn...I'm trying to remember why I like these movies. My biggest bone of contention is that they're getting awfully preachy for cheap horror flicks. I mean at least they used to go with the human emotion 'to revenge or not to revenge?' theme and all, but now going after insurance adjusters? Really? are they going to have used cars salesmen play the game in VII?

It wasn't arbitrary though, at least attacking an insurance executive was pertinent to the story of Jigsaw. I also thought it was kind of clever having him decide the fate of the people close to him like chooses the fate of his clients.

Damn, I've been way behind on my horror movies. I'm getting ready to start on the After Dark Horrorfest 3 and 4 movies, though. A few of them look decent and have some good reviews.

Watched Saw V and VI and Frozen today. Frozen was pretty great. Didn't really like the stuff with the wolves, but the rest of the film was great.

Anyone else dislike Halloween 4 and 5?
4 at best is barely watchable, but I think 5 is just awful. I've never got the love for those two movies.

I like part 4 other than the look of Myers. That mask is horrible.

No, but I enjoy them nonetheless. I enjoy them like I enjoy Friday the 13th Part V. It's a really weird direction for the series to go in, but I like the storyline they set up with Jaimie, and where it eventually goes in the 6th film. No, they aren't at the top of my Halloween list, but I like them more than most of the Nightmare sequels.

I like H20 for what it is, a Scream-ish parody of the first film, that turns out to be a pretty good movie in its own right, but in line with the others, it's not my favorite. I've seen Resurrection twice, once in theaters, once on DVD, never had the itch to watch it outside the series. I didn't hate it, but I don't remember enough to say I liked it.
