He helped his party by doing so. Only suspending his campaign and carrying himself into the convention will allow him to speak and set up for his next run whenever that may be. It also hurts democratic party cuz now its putting stress for a candidate to be named. mccain may not be the official candidate yet but we all know he will be now. I think honestly it would be smart for huckabee to drop and back mccain and pull for a vp spot for himself.
Hillary and Obama will in three or four weeks be forced into a decision, if not sooner. Honestly, I like them both and both of their plans are similar anyways. I expect to see Hillary pick up the next few important states such as ohio and texas and eventually take the presidential candidacy but I think it would be a wise move for both Hillary and Obama for her to pick him as VP...
Oh well, either way, this puts a strain on the democrats to get someone out there as the main candidate now.

It gives McCain a few extra weeks to campaign while the Dems beat up on each other.
I don't care what he calls it, Romney tapped out.

The Democratic nomination won't be done until the convention.
McCain has risen from the dead. Kudos.

That dude came across me as some sort of underground mob boss. He looked like someone who would be the villain to Chris Tucker and Jackie Chann in a Rush Hour flick or something

When Hillary or Barack win, he'll run in 2012 and get the nomination only to be crushed.

It's weird, everyone thought Bush was going to get murdered last election, but yet he won pretty handily. I just have a hard time believing that Obama and Billary can actually get elected. It's not because I think McCain is a good candidate, or that he is unbeatable, I just don't think they can WIN.

How the hell do you suspend your campaign? You sure as hell can't win if you don't play. It's not like sitting out a hand of poker to take a crap.
Hell, if suspending your campagin actually worked, then Fred Thompson should've suspended instead of dropping out. He performs best when he's not actively running.

Good, now if only we could get America to actually listen to Ron Paul, there might actually be hope for this country.
