I found out in October I was going to be a Godfather for the first time, & today I found out my friends are having a girl. I was really hoping it was going to be a girl. Her parents & I already decided she's not allowed to date until she's 18, & when they day comes I'll be there to scare the hell out of the little punk.

I was supposed to be godfather of a close friend's child, 'til the whole group of friends had differences. They named someone else afterwards.
It was gonna be an ugly baby, anyway, trust me.
But mad props/kudos to you. When you get named for something like that, you realize that someone else thinks you're responsible enough/capable of raising a child. They trust you like no other. It's a great feeling.

Better than being a father dammit That it is. But if something does happen to the parents, you (as a godfather) have to assume full responsibility of the child from that point on. At least I think that's how it goes... |
