Cell phone question

Well, I just have some old piece of crapNokia phone that I don't like. But I got it free and just switched sim cards, so I mean it works and thats whats most important.

But I do want to upgrade but I'm sorta confused.

We have Centennial Wireless, which doesn't have a lot of phones to choose from. But on there site they have some okay ones.

I really like the Krazr and Sony Ericcson. But they're expensive. And I'm just looking on ebay, and on eBay I know I can find a Razr for a cheap price. But, I'd have to get an unlocked one right? Well, thats what I was guessing and just look at this one as an example:

Under the service providers Centennial isn't listed. So even though its supposed to be unlocked, does it not work with it? Or would it.
