Yeah, well sadly- I suspect someone in my family of being bulemic, and have started to notice an extremely odd shift in her behavior lately. I live in a house with my aunt, no other family members(since my mother and sister moved out almost a year ago, it's basically that I pay her rent, and live on my own)...
My aunt is pretty overweight, always has been. But recently I notice LARGE quanitities of food missing in my house- whole plates of brownies, strange behaviors and sounds coming from her while she's in the bathroom, and a few times I have even seen her regurgitate slightly because she says her throat dries up when eating certain things...in my mind- BULL SHIT...She has been eating a ton, but not putting on any weight; losing it actually, and seems to always have a dazed/half drunken aura to her. She also has bloodshot eyes alot of the time, and feels weak and loses her balance easily. At first, I suspected it may be some kind of drug she was on- prescription or narcotic, because of her altered state and weight loss...But I know her morals and standards, and she doesn't seem like the type to become drug dependent at her age, and her abnormal consumption of food and strange bathroom behaviors has led me to believe it is that she's rapidly falling deeper into her bulemic condition.
Guys, what should I do to get her help? Do you feel I have diagnosed correctly? Should I say something and confront her, let her know that I know about the problem? We are honestly pretty damn close as aunt and nephew can get, but I'm not sure if it's my place to pull rank on her, but I REALLY am concerned about the long term effects this can and will have on her body. Just coming here because I want some honest and helpful advice...Please no immature/idiotic replies.
-Thanks guys, much appreciated...
