Whats Up Guyz~
Check it, I'm going to Vegas for the 1st time w/out my Parents, around Mid Feb.
What are some top things I should check out while im there?
Last time I was there, was in 99' and I went to the Old Nitro Grill, and saw an episode of Nitro At the MGM Grand-Garden Arena.
Interested in a lot of old stuff like , The Rat Pack, Elvis, and other cool historical items.
Let me know.
Not sure if this belonged in here or the lounge.

Check out Penn & Teller.
And if, like my parents, you're given the choice to see either George Carlin or Gallagher...well, that's no-win, really.

I'm sure Lotto has room on his agenda for a little fear and/or loathing.

I went when I was 14 so it wasn't really fun, but I actually really liked Cirque de Soliel and Sigfried and Roy (sadly it wasn't the show when he got mauled). The energy in Vegas is so awesome, and we stayed at the Mirage where our room was nicer than my house.

My most recent visit was about a month ago. Check out what's going on at The House Of Blues at the Mandalay Bay. We saw The Spazmatics one night, Purple Reign (Prince cover band) another night, and they have Rock Star Karaoke on Monday (live band plays for you).
If you like poker, try playing in a smaller tournament at an "off" hour, such as midnight.
If you like strip clubs, check out Seamless at around 3 am... it's a regular strip club, then at 4am, it turns into an after hours club, where there is just semi-regular partying.
I had fun at a place called Polly Esther's at the Stratosphere. If you like 80's and 90's music, they have a huge screen where not only do you hear the songs on the dance floor, but you can watch the original music videos. Went there on a Thursday night.
Don't know how much you like to party and go out late, but these are some fun suggestions. Have a good time! And bring extra cab money... there is a crapton of construction going on, and the cabbies have to take more circuitous routes, increasing the prices.

Check out LV version of The Price is Right and see The Blue Man Group. Vegas has excellent buffets, I recommend the ones in Luxor and Bellagio. If you're into games, there's also a Gameworks right next to the M&M/Coca Cola building. Tons of great games both old and new style. Luxor has the very best arcade in Vegas that I've been to, though. It's two levels and even features a mini-bowling alley.
And I second the cab money suggestion.

Man, there's so much to do. I'm there right now on vacation visiting family, and unfortunately I'm leaving tomorrow. First, if you're interested in thrill rides, I highly recommend a trip to the Stratosphere. There is some scary crapup in the tower. The "Big Shot" is the best ride in the world, in my opinion. For shows and such, checkout some of the aforementioned attractions. Blue Man Group, Cirque de Soliel, David Copperfield, Lance Burton, etc... For food, basically any restaurant in any of the strip hotels. All of them (to my knowledge) have more than one five-star restaurants. Hell, there's a ton of formal restaurants located in the Studio Hall at MGM Grand. Luxor has the best buffet I've ever eaten at, and there's a GREAT Italian restaurant at the New York New York hotel, the name escapes me however. Luckily enough for you, you're coming at a good time where there won't be too much of a crowd since everyone left after the holiday season, and you can walk up and down the strip with no problem. Oh, and for the said strip club "Seamless", go there on a "XXX Thursday"... haha. Have a good time.

It really depends on what you like to do.
I suggest checking out the grand canyon if you haven't, it isn't too far away. Also go shopping in the big shopping outlets, great specials there. Make sure you see the vegas sign. Take your time to look around hotels, each are a specticle of their own most with a certain feature or show: -Bellagio fountains -Mirage volcano -Treasure Islan pirate show And more. Also check out some of the places along the strip like coca-cola world and the MNM's one. For eating go to the buffets. They are great value and have the best food. The best one is at MGM and then followed by the Luxor. Luxor has a cinema and an arcade room inside (not the restaurant). Also try and see a show. There are lots of discounted ticket booths that can get you cheaper tickets.
Also use the Deuce to get around. Its a double decker gold bus that is popular and cheap. Great view from the top too.
EDIT: I just remembered the stratosphere, it is great to go up there especially at night. You get a great view of the Luxor's beam and the whole strip. You even see tons of planes taxing in the air around, looks pretty awesome. Also if you are game enough try the rides up there. Even the NYNY roller coasters is scary enough.

That is actually an eight hour drive from Vegas. Anyway, I just got back from Vegas over Christmas. Two shows I highly recommend are Penn & Teller at the Rio. They also hang out after the show for pictures and autographs, which is really cool. Also, go to the Bellagio and see the Cirque show called "O." It is expensive, but it is BY FAR the most AMAZING show I have ever seen. I was literally blown away. Honestly, just flying to vegas, seeing that show, and flying back would have been worth the trip alone. Also, as someone mentioned, check out the Bellagio water show at night, and you get a nice view of it from the top of the Paris restaraunt. New York New York has a really fun dueling piano bar if you are into that sort of thing. If you like Star Trek, go to the Hilton and check out the Star Trek experience. I went to hat and had a blast. If you are gambling, I reccomend taking the time to learn craps. Find a friendly table and dealer, and get someone to help you learn the game if you don't know it already. It is by far the most fun and exciting game in Vegas. Slots are a good way to win money if you play smart, but they are depressing, because it's almost always addicts, smokers, and old people playing them. Also, if you do play slots, always play the ones near doors and entrances. The more people around the better. You will find they are usually a little bit looser than the ones in the back. The buffet at the Rio is amazing, but the line is killer for it. Caesars kind of blows. Go to check it out, but the gambling there kind of blows.

When you go see Penn & Teller, make sure you get the quintessential Penn & Teller souvenir...the official Penn & Teller Perfectly Ordinary Deck of Cards.

I absolutely love Las Vegas. I've been there twice already and I'm planning on going back again sometime this year.
Some of the stuff I enjoy doing while I'm there:
- The best bar on the strip, in my opinion, is the Nine Fine Irishmen at New York, New York. It's a small Irish bar, but it's a lot of fun to go to. - The cardroom at MGM Grande or Mandalay Bay if you enjoy poker. - The Hard Rock Cafe was a lot of fun. - See a Cirque Du Soliel show. If you've never been to one, you'll just have to trust me. If you have seen one before, you already know how cool it is. - The buffet at The Wynn was amazing (but expensive). - The Bellagio water show at night.

Prostitution is illegal in Las Vegas. It's all over the place, though. Since when is it illegal? If it is they need better enforcers because I heard there is so many there that you would have a batter chance of finding a hooker then finding a nickle on the ground they are practically a dime a dozen. Anyway I am pretty sure it is legal in other countries.
