so for christmas, im not sure what to ask for. should i get the 80 gig ipod or the 80 gig zune. ive had an ipod mini and i now use an ipod nano, but i wanna upgrade in memory. the 3.5 screen is awfully tempting with the zune compared to the 2.5 ipod. what do you guys suggest?

I have a Zune, I got it for Christmas last year, my friends have iPod's, but I really think the Zune is overall better. I know on the Zune there a place for music, videos, pictures, podcast, etc. It's a pretty nice thing to have.

I am in the same situation. I am getting the 80 GB Zune over 200 hrs of video and a ton of songs.

I have the 30 Gig Zune, it holds a nice amount it's self. Right now, I have 2938 Songs, 3603 Pictures, and 21 Videos (Mostly Full Wrestling Shows), and I have a bit over 2 gig left on it. The 80 gig one would be good, I guess if you wanted to have a ton of Videos or music on there, but I think it's just as good to go with the 30 gig, because it holds a nice amount, and is cheaper.

Go with the iPod. I have an 80 gig and it is great. The only issue I have is the video zaps the battery.

I have the 30 GB Zune, so unless they totally ruined the 80 GBs, it'll be as great as my 30 GB. It's really 6 in one half-dozen in the other, but I prefer the menus on the Zune and the radio feature is a nice touch.

The question I have to those with the Zune... do you HAVE to get your music from the Microsoft Marksetplace... or can you sync it with WMP w/ songs that you already have downloaded from another source???

You have to use the horrendous software to do anything with it, but no, you don't have to use the Marketplace. You can just choose a folder you want synced and it'll do it. The device itself is awesome.

Ipod gets my vote. I have had only great experiences with anything apple for the most part. I've had many frustrating situations with pc's and zunes are kind of linked in with those. That being said I haven't really heard much negative about the Zune, but I think in general apple products have more quality in design and function. Hence the heftier price tag.

Okay question. I own a 60GB ps3 and I want to transfer songs from ps3 - to ipod. Do I have to use ITunes or can I use my ps3?

I can appreciate the Zune, but its ugly exterior really turns me away. Not to mention, the vast majority of good accessories are for the iPod. I'd go with (and did go with) the iPod.
