The thought of a snow thunderstorm for some reason scares the hell out of me. Last year we had a storm with thunder and snow, it was ing cool. Well, we might not have had it, I might have been a little uh, impaired and I might have imagined it, but I think it happened.

Seems like these strings of storms are occuring on a global scale.

Thunder snow is when some of the heaviest snowfall occurs. Not very common but it can happen.

They're predicting a huge ice storm to come through my area. School's are already canceling classes for tomorrow even though right now nothing is happening weatherwise other than it being cold. It's beyond stupid.

I'm waiting for him to return his Nobel Prize...Hope he kept his receipt. Oh and the same goes for his Oscar too!!!!

It's beyond stupid. Same here in Des Moines. They are saying that we are to get 0.3 of an inch of ice beginning at 6pm and snow later on; carrying on til 6pm tomorrow. I prayed for a White Christmas, but I can do without the Ice!

The predicted an inch and a half of ice so every single school in the area canceled for tomorrow. We ended up getting a nice glaze on the streets and that's about it. So tomorrow it'll just be cold, but no one digging out of ice like they predicted and all the kids are out of school.

My school is kind of notorious for never canceling classes, but it's really dangerous, there's like .25-.5" of ice right now and it's not supposed to stop until this evening.

Here in Wisconsin we have almost a foot of snow. We have had worse. However I am not sure if we are supposed to get more. My mother already had to call into work due to snow once. Nice sledding weather. I already went sliding twice. I only went down twice though maybe thrice can't remember. I hope we have snow on my birthday it is just 8 days away. ;D

For whatever reason nobody considers MO to be part of the Midwest here in indiana.
But, yes I know what you mean. In Indiana, there is an expression: "If you don't like the weather here, just wait until tomorrow."
