Iowa State Patrol and Iowa DOT are discussing fines for drivers that refuse to stay home during dangerous winter storms, do you support the idea?
---------------------------------------------------
I think its the dumbest idea I've ever heard. I mean some people dont get excused for winter weather. Most employers say "If I made it to work, so can you". I know at my wifes former workplace they had a 4x4 committee. The committee would be of people who owned 4x4s. They would go and pick up people who called in due to bad winter weather.

That's intellectually- disabled.
It's Nature.... I wouldn't support this idea.

Being that I used to live in Iowa, that's kind of shocking to me.

I am pretty sure we're all used to the weather in Iowa by now and know how to handle it. It's not like snow or ice is something new.

I bet Slappy agrees.
And you shouldn't drive in the summer either, because your hands will get sweaty in the heat and will slip on the steering wheel, thus making it very likely a crash will occur.
But yeah.. joking aside.. its intellectually- disabled.

This is completely idiotic.
As I understand it, these "fines" would involve policemen driving in dangerous weather to give tickets to people driving in dangerous weather...
WTF, seriously? That is astoundingly hypocritical.

no, i don't agree at all. no one wants to go out when it's really bad out, so if someone is going somewhere under those conditions it's because they have to go. there should be no punishment for someone doing something they need to do. it may be a little dangerous, but we are still in america.

The other thing is... It really doesn't get that bad in Iowa. Yes, it snows, but not an excessive amount.

Treight Edge..You never have anything intelligent to say!!!! Oh off you old poot. This is ridiculous. Central New York winters are absolutely horrible and the thought of ticketing drivers for going out is laughable to me. Go buy expensive TV equipment then complain about it.

Depends on what they would consider a dangerous winter storm.

That is absolutely intellectually- disabled... I live in Iowa and we had a bit of a snow storm last night, so my buddies and I got in our cars and drove around the parking lots at my college whipping doughnuts and having a blast all night....There is no way this will happen...
