Hey guys, I'm having a serious problem with my guitar's strings. I changed them recently due to one breaking and I messed with the bridge and stuff while taking them off. When I changed them, the 2,3,4, and 5 strings will not play the note after the 7th fret or so. I tried adjusting the bridge to see if that was the problem but to no avail. So now I come to the resident guitar players here for help. If you have any idea what the problem is, please let me know as I am getting a serious headache from this shit. Thanks a lot guys.

go to a music shop and get it re-done, they should do it for free.

It's so easy to adjust it, you're just doing it wrong.

Why didn't you just restring the string that broke only?

I would have just done that but i noticed the pickup lost a screw as well so I messed around with that, too. Do you think the would fix that too if I brought it in for restringing or would I be s.o.l. there?

No, that costs money seeing as you ed with it even more. How the hell do you mess something up so bad?

It sounds like your action is too low. Raise your strings up some, and it should solve the problem.

That reminds me of when I bought my bass. I was having HORRIBLE fret buzz before I got it set up. But they raised the strings.
