I've got it. It does a lot of little things that are nice and all, but just aren't necessary. It's a lot of flash. Window's is trying to become the Mac OS.

I got it. UAC gets annoying, and it takes more ram than it should, but otherwise perfectly acceptable.

I didn't get it because I have blackbox and I pretty much get the same "visual attributes" from it as Vista shows.

I dunno how you guys can say its useless, if you bought a new Dell or other kind of computer its required so you had no choice.
I like it, it jsut seems much easier to use than the other OS's

I've messed around in it. Not very good. I ordered a new computer which should be here tomorrow, and it comes with Vista, but I'm probably going to switch to XP again.

Is it worth upgrading from XP Media Center edition?

It's getting a bad rep for crashing or randomly shutting off for some people. I used it once in a presentation for work (I usually use macs, but the plug to the projector was only compatible with pc's) anyhow I got a pop up saying it needed to updated stuff (it wasn't even connected to the internet) I accidentally clicked the "try back in 10 minutes" then the meeting started and sure enough right before our presentation started the thing shuts down. Now I know this is just one bad experience, but I've heard about the thing just randomly shutting off for other people. I'm sure it's fine for what most people need, but I've heard of other people having issues with older programs working properly with it.
Kind of reminds me of windows 2000, no one used that and just waited till xp. Now no one wants vista, so wait for the next one. Or just get a mac. Sooooooooo much better. I was a Windows guy all the way until I got a mac. They're more expensive though, but well worth the extra cash.
