Right off the bat, the peg stem seems weak. The TMNT figures I just bought, the legs can go up but putting them back into position, the peg bends with it as if it were drop down hips. You really have to push in whilst bending them down so it doesn't snap.

whenever we go to flex the leg forward to perform a kick or pose the figure in a kick pose, the leg will not stay in place and when you bend the leg, it actually bounces back. as if the leg is not moving on the 'ball' joint or 'pinecone' joint, but instead is flexing the entire hip peg. the ball joints seem to be frozen or far too tight

So I just got the new Dudleyz 2 pack in the mail and the legs bounce back like the other guys have mentioned and also it seems like one side of the hip on each figure sits lower as in the peg might be warped downwards, if that makes sense? Thanks for reaching out Steve. This whole Vietnam factory QC seems to be getting out of hand :/.

What about all the other QC issues, paint work, different coloured joints, giraffe neck syndrome? These need addressed too.

The legs seem to be incredibly stiff at the joints. Some have issues doing the splits, whether going out or in. Often times when trying to get them out of the split pose the legs feel like they get stuck and it feels similar to a drop down hip where you have to push the leg up towards the crotch piece to get it back in place.
There’s also instances where the legs simply don’t kick up. Either you can’t move them at all or when you try to move them up they bounce back down.
Pinless legs also seem to still be stiff when utilized.
Thanks for trying to remedy this. To be honest we’ve seen a lot of QC issues on a whole other than the legs. Some include parts with mismatched skin tones, figures with 2 left arms, sloppy paint applications to name a few.

Just got and returned a Monday Night Wars Big Boss Man. His left leg had a 1/4 inch gap where the thigh connects to the hip joint. It felt like the plug between joints was soft rubber, and not hard plastic. There was no way to press the leg into place.

If you try to move the legs out to the side on some of the newer elites, they won’t go back down properly. They’ll almost turn into a UE drop down hip look.
The pinless knees are extremely tight.

On UE figures with drop down hips, the hips feel even more fragile than elites that had ratchets hips. I’m afraid to really move them because I’m scared the hip joints will just snap off.
Also with drop down hips, sometimes they don’t want to go back into place where they normally would be and that means there’s an unnatural looking gap between the upper thigh and trunks pieces.
Personally I don’t like these hips at all and would be fine with them being completely phased out. I do like that they have caused ratchet hips to be further phased out though.
Some figures with pinless legs are really stiff and hard to move, it’s like you have to break them in but again, you worry about them snapping if you use too much force
On some newer elites even ones with ball joints it feels like the hips don’t want to move and the legs might snap especially some of the bigger legs
This is a personal preference but I hate the split kickpad molds like the one on Elite 113 CM Punk especially since there was a new CM Punk kickpad mold just for him made all the way back in Elite 20 that was all one piece. I don’t like that his figures have regressed.

DDP in the Monday Night War Elite line is incredibly stiff legged, especially at the hips. I had to heat him up to get any movement at all. The Rey Mysterio Elite in Monday Night War, the leg (especially the right) freezes if you kick out and essentially gets stuck until heated.
Knee joints are also super tight.

So far I just put my figures in boiled water and pop off the effected leg. I dry it off and pop it back on. Then I move it around, as much as possible. This seems to fix it for me.

Thank you for providing a platform to address these issues Steve. Its having a huge negative impact on peoples engagement of new product and has actively reduced the amount of new figures I buy.
Personally, I first noticed these issues when Elite pinless legs got introduced. The majority of the pinless knee joints I’ve owned are too tight and stiff to the point of only bending with force. Infact they feel similar to the old single joint ‘Basic’ knees before the shift to Main Event.
But the main issue is the Elite leg movement at the hip ball joint. This is similar to the knee issue but more concerning as it completely prevents poseability and it feels like my new figure is essentially ‘broken’. In my opinion, when posing in a seated position it feels as if the leg mould is ‘gripping’ the ‘ball’ too tightly meaning the leg is not actually moving around the ‘ball’ smoothly to allow movement but infact twisting the plastic ‘ball’ peg piece itself creating tension and forcing the leg to ‘spring’ back in to place like an elastic band. This tension honestly feels like if I forced the figure in to a full seated position the plastic peg holding the ‘ball’ would snap clean in the middle. The feeling of tension in hand is similar to the old ‘ratchet’ joint articulation issues, which is why the ‘ball’ joint was introduced to begin with.
I have also tried the boiling water method on the hips and this did solve the issue while the joints were hot allowing smooth movement around the ball. However after a few minutes when the plastic had cooled and returned to its original state the exact same issue started again so even this is not an option.

I think it’s the grooves that’s on the ball joint now. It kinda looks similar to the old ratchet style joints I have to take the legs off and shave the grooves off for the legs to move so the figure can have good articulation. When it comes to Ultimates well the drop down legs are horrible.

The issues for me are more centred around the ankle/feet. Large gaps between the leg joining the foot which then means it's exceptionally difficult to get a figure to just stand as it's off centre. Also had a singular issue where the legs are seemingly to tight to the hip which then throws the hips forward causing a large forward lean across the figure.

On Elites - incredibly stiff legs. To the point they can’t be moved, because it will go back to its original position and feels like it could break. I have a number of newer figures like this, Elite Chad Gable and the red Solo Sikoa are strong examples. Super stiff.
Ultimates - The drop down hips constantly have to be pushed up back into place. I can do it with no issue, but it does leave me worried that they could break when trying to reposition them back into the joint.

Drop down hips 😭 I only collect ultimates but they are so fragile, I've now had Razor, Legends Undertaker and Rey all break because of how flimsy they are with very little pulling. We don't need them

Thanks for this Steve, it's great to know you guys are listening and that people's concerns are being addressed.
Much like everyone else, I've encountered a lot of knee stiffness in the pinless legs and 'bounce back', for want of a better term, when kicking legs forward.
The drop down hips, I imagine, are a different issue, but they scare the bejesus out of me whenever I use them. They just don't feel particularly robust, though I feel the same way with drop down hips on Marvel Legends etc, so it might just be a problem with drop down hips in general.

Issues:
1) The ball joints. Seem to make the legs super stiff and they don’t move around well. When I kick forward they don’t wanna go back to a standing stance
2) knee joints are incredibly stiff since moving to pinless joints.
3) I can do without the dropdown hips on the ultimates as they often have to be adjusted. I would much prefer something like improved ankle pivot or hinge joints for the heads.
