While I don't have anything written down, its safe to say my daughter would get everything I own. I've only got about ten figures so I'm not fussed with what happens to them. If she told me she'd bin them while I was still warm, I wouldn't really care. Same would apply if I still had my collection of a couple hundred figures. My records on the other hand. If I were to allow them to be distributed to family on a first in first serve basis, I wouldn't expect anyone to pick them up. Shes the only one I'd expect to look after them.

I don’t own a ton but have a few things that are worth a decent chunk of change. I’ve told my family to sell what they can if I ever die before them. Everything else do whatever you want. I don’t really care.

Then whatever else goes to charity or family members who want it; or sold to make sure those dependent on me have some extra left over money

Personally I’d like to be cremated or scattered somewhere or the cliche of being made into tree however that works sounds cool lol.
Due to my law enforcement service I’m entitled to a honor guard so I’m not sure if I’d want that.

I haven’t really thought about it yet, but you’re right—it definitely makes sense to arrange everything in advance. One thing I’m sure of is that I want to have all my important digital data stored securely on legacy box, so my family can easily access it after I’m gone. Whether it’s personal memories like photos and videos or important documents, having everything organized in one place will give me peace of mind knowing they’ll have access to what they need. It’s something I’ve been meaning to set up, and now seems like the perfect time to make it happen

Even with kids, you could give them your stuff and they just trash. It wouldn't necessarily have the same meaning to them, either.

I like to clean out. Anything that’s not currently functional or appreciated systematically is removed ahead of time. Whatever’s left will go to my wife or kids

I'm plenty of decades away from death but I've already started to get rid of a bunch of stuff because I recently watched The Simpsons episode where Marge does that & I agree with her

I have no children, no close family besides my elderly parents, and the only friend I have that's local will almost certainly die before me.

I don't even have a will because there's no point. I have nobody in my life who is likely to outlive me who I want to have my stuff.

As far as I'm concerned, they can hollow out the bottom of my casket and dump my plushies and figures in there before they stack me on top and shove me in the ground.

Had this conversation with my girlfriend and she seems to reckon she’d hoard them into a big pile and lie amongst them, I surely hope not, that would ruin the MOC figures

I'm under no illusions that I'm creating a wonderous 'collection'. This is just junk that makes me vaguely happy in the moment, meaningless to everyone else. I didn't want my Dad's things. My kids won't want mine. Knowing it'll eventually rot in some landfill is a great motivator to stop spending and stop giving my wife more hassle to deal when I'm gone. Lets me focus on my favorite few items.
