Legends Kurt Angle has the worst giraffe neck I've ever seen. The socket inside looks completely different, I'm guessing Mattel just does the sculpting and the factory handles some of the engineering?
You can see the stem from the ball joint, thats how much space there is between the neck and the head.

a year or two ago, i bought a pair of doc marten boots and they were made in vietnam. can confirm that the quality was less than ideal on those. so it’s not just action figures coming out of there that are screwed up

Chinese piece work factories have been perfecting the processes for decades. Maybe it takes a while to get going?

I’ve been noticing more and more Cody’s figures have had a leg issue with the leg not being able to move without kicking back. Wonder if anyone with the new top picks code is experiencing the game thing.

You can see the stem from the ball joint, thats how much space there is between the neck and the head. My Bushwhacker Butch is like that. I’ve seen some other people mention a figure with a long neck peg that my figure doesn’t have. Like my 2 Legends Kurts don’t have giraffe neck. It seems completely random that some figures are getting long neck pegs and the same exact figure will get a short neck peg.

I only had recently started buying these figures in higher quantities again and if I've bought 30 figures this year I've had to take the hair dryer to 25 of them. The left hip is always frozen. And the pinless knees are either so tight you have to wrench on them or they flop in the breeze.
Kids wouldn't know about the hair dryer trick or boiling water and their parents probably wouldn't either. So I'm wondering how the hell kids are supposed to play with these things?
The hair dryer trick doesn't even always work. I've had several of them where I got the leg unfrozen and then when it returned to room temperature it was just stuck again. Oh yeah, the other problem that I've had on a few of them is that the arm only goes up about 90° and if you try to move it past that it feels like it's going to break.
I hope they get this figured out pretty soon because it's making me consider tapping the brakes again.

Everything appeared to look good at first glance but then noticed both of Halls shoulder joints are different colors than the body. There’s this weird pock mark paint smear on Nashs body too.

Both Outsiders UE figures for me, the legs don't bend at the hips. If you try to bend them, you can tell you are twisting the pin, rather than having it turn around it.

Saw my first discolored joint today. Picked up Farooq at target. While his bicep and forearm are milk chocolate, his elbow joint however is about 2 shades off or so of diarrhea brown 😂

MDT put up a good video today going through the recent issues. He compares essentially the same figures (and the same figure moulds) made in China vs Nam and goes through all the issues we get now that we didn't have. I saw some people here say its nothing new and that we've always had people complaining about manufacturing issues but its clear since moving to Vietnam we are having tons of new issues that are very prevalent.
Personally the extremely tight knee joints and stiff hip ball joints are the biggest issues for me as it seriously inhibits you playing/posing with the figure.
2 tone issues are ridiculous as well and shouldn't be happening this many years into the figures.
I hope Mattel are monitoring the issues and address them asap. It would be horrible having many figures with serious build quality issues moving forward.

My Outsiders set...
Hall has a discolored shoulder joint and a left leg that I'm really afraid to mess with at all, its a drop down hip issue. Nash has a right leg issue that pretty much wont move up at all. Has anyone had a vest issue with Nash? the nWo logo on the back of the vest was tacky feeling. I wiped my thumb over it and the top of the letter O completely smeared.

There were 4 Batista Ultimates at my WalMart and all 4 had black markings on the torso. One had black markings on the main head and another had a giant black dot on its throat.
