With so many preorders and pipelined releases coming from Mattel, Jazzwares and independent toy companies, I wanted to gauge peoples’ opinions on what they are most looking forward to. I’m an 80’s WWF (LJN era) collector. So I lean toward Mattel’s Coliseum Collection and Major Bendies’ Big Rubber Guys. Mine are:
10) Ko Ko B. Ware (Big Rubber Guys)
9) Ted DiBiase (Coliseum Collection)
8) Big Bossman (Coliseum Collection)
7) Ricky Steamboat (Coliseum Collection)
6) (hopefully “King”) Haku (Big Rubber Guys)

4) Bad News Brown (Big Rubber Guys)

Strictly as a BCA collector, my #1 is easily the Hardys. They were such a disappointing gap in the line and I'm glad to see them represented. I'm also thrilled we're getting a Glacier and Mike Chioda.

This was seriously hard to do! My original list had about 30 figures total so it was really hard to narrow down. Here is what I came up with:
1 - Heenan #2 (Epic Toys)
2 - Yellow Andre (Epic Toys)

4 - Crush (FC Toys)
5 - Alfred Hayes/Sean Mooney 2 Pack (Hasttel Toy)
6 - Brooklyn Brawler (ZST)

9 - Patriot (FC Toys)
10 - Bull Nakano (KWK)
Honorable mention to the mystery figure from FC Series 2 just based on how much work went into it and how well it turned out! It has me excited but in a different way!

Nice list! Out of curiosity, you listed all of the announced Coliseum Collection figures except Steamboat. Not liking that one? It's good, but not my top Steamboat want. I would love for them to make the Defining Moments from of his 1991 WWF attire as an Ultimate Edition, that's my top Steamboat want. I also would have preferred if the coliseum collection attire wasn't plain black. Yes, I know it's based off the original LJN figure, but Mattel has strayed from that on a number of the figures so far. Makes sense. He’s such an iconic wrestler of the era, and I SO love the look of these figures MOC, that I’ll take him as is. But I agree that adding red to the tights would be more toyetic for sure. |

If I'm being completely honest, with the Monday Night Wars debacle being what it is, I am severely disinterested in most wrestling figures right now. I am absolutely stoked to get my Rougeaus and Big Bully Busick figures, as well as my Hardyz from BRG. The BCA Hardyz will also be a must buy for me, and if they make a DOA Crush in that line, day one. But they cancelled the BCA NWA-faction Double J, it seems, and that was the only other thing on my list of must-haves.

All of the upcoming Galoob style figures from any company making them, including but not limited to Top Rope and Epic.
Epic's Vader figure.
Hopefully a re-release of Epic's Onita.

Those series 1 TMNTs were so well-made, I am ready for series 2. Casey "Cody Rhodes" Jones was the top want in the first place! After seeing how good series 1 was, even more amped for S2.

Are you wanting a different version or did you not pre-order? For Onita? I just didn't get round to ordering his initial release from series 3, unfortunately. I didn't really have the budget for him as I'd already ordered some Super7 stuff, non wrestling related, plus a few other bits. I'm not sure if he'll get another run or not. This is obviously a first world problem, though, tbf 😄 |
