I know there are alot of figures you can buy now on ebay with a price sticker on them for about 6 or 7 bucks from Walmaret, KB Toys, K-Mart, etc. Sometimes its crossed out for cheaper due to clearance but was this the price of retail at launch? Reason I ask is because I am going through the Wayback machine from 2001, and I see ringside collectables were selling TTL figures at launch for $16 or $17 for one figure. I dont think I can ever recall walking into a KB toys as a kid and seeing a WWE figures for $16! Link to source: web.archive.org/web/20010124093000/http://www.ringsidecollectibles.com/JakksFigures/TTL9.htmlI have to imagine this was due to the price inefficiency of the Internet back in the day, plus RSC's markup? Seems nowadays there is only about a $2 or $3 spread difference from retail to online.

Jakks BCA’s retailed for $4.99 and the later series were $5.99. The tag team sets were $9.99 but the later series were $12.99.

BCA singles ranged from 5.97 (at the BARGAIN! Shop) to 7.97 (Zellers & Walmart) in Canada.

In the UK BCA's were £4.99, ones with weapons were £6.99 and 2 Packs were £9.99
TTL's from memory started at around £7.99 and then the Rulers of The Ring series crept up to £9.99. 2 Packs were around £14.99

I have such fond memories of when the BCA line was being phased out for TTLs and Toys R Us put all of their BCAs on clearance for $2.98. I had a modest collection up to that point but then I just went crazy buying everything. I think regular price at the time had been $5.99.
I remember TTLs being closer to $10 so I think $16 from RSC for new figures makes sense. Some of the FTITL figures were really hard to find (that first Hardy Boyz Double Slam pack, the first TTL Kurt Angle) and collectible shops were selling them for a ridiculous markup.

I vaguely remember buying BCAs (I mean, my mom and dad buying me BCAs) for $4.97 at Walmart, but I might be off by a buck on that.

BCAs were usually $4.99-$5.99
Never bought TTLs so Im not sure about that. I doubt they were $16-17 even at a KB Toys in a high rent district.
