Considering the range of names available, it feels like a head scratcher. I had to Google what Hardcore Hak even looked like. And the answer is apparently "The Sandman wearing all black." Clearly he's there because it's a zero deco figure. The entire MNW set has been super low deco, even compared to other BAF lines. I know the run is probably smaller than multi-retailer BAF waves, but even compared to the Walmart Flashback line with a BAF, this feels like cutting some major corners. It absolutely is. I just feel bad for people who got excited about this line thinking they would maybe get guys like Mortis/Glacier/Juventud when that was never going to happen. Has there even been one new FTITL legend in the MNW lineup? The likes of Golga and Disciple don't count since those guys are already under contract and have multiple figures. I know they can't do a Sting or Jericho right now because of obvious reasons, but c'mon give the peasants some crumbs. There isn't one guy from the Revenge midcard roster that they could sign? Mortis would be so damn cool to add to the line. Meng + Barbarian would be great ftil figures. Alex wright. Raven. Wrath Chavo and finley wouldnt be ftil but those would be a cool wcw figures. Scott norton, buff bagwell, brian adams, nwo sting (maybe one day), konnan I know new talent isnt always available but it would be great to see new faces in the line

Goldberg and Macho are gone too, not that we necessarily needed another Goldberg. It just sort of feels like the WCW Invsaion version of a line - sounds like an amazing concept, but the execution is feeling pretty flat. Getting a bunch of FTIL was never realistic, and with WM's availability would have been a disaster. But I still would like to see more from this line.

I imagine UE Steiner is being saved for Ringside Fest. I don’t know why people expected obscure characters in this line. Golga was a nice surprise, but some of these characters had a shelf life of less than six months. I feel like we’re closer to some New Generation names like Marc Mero than names like Raven.

Given the questionable distribution of Monday Night Wars so far, not having a desirable character like Steiner in there is a blessing. I'm gonna be thankful for every wanted figure that doesn't go in and instead has a shot at being a mainline or Legends release instead.

Just not enough meat on the bone to get excited about a Hak figure. I know he technically fits the theme of the line, but it's just The Sandman under a different name and they literally just dropped TWO versions of him. Funny how they sign certain names and pump out different looks immediately, but for others it's a much slower process. I feel like it's hit or miss with every series - I was impressed with how detailed and all out they went with wave 1, but the wave 3 stuff I picked up felt like it was missing something. I guess having to tool stuff for Disciple took a toll on the budget? I feel like that's also the case with the PPV waves though, so I'm not terribly surprised at it. I do like the current strategy of seemingly emptying the tank on every look for legends talent while they have them under deals. I don't know if the Legends line has a bigger budget, but I'm not surprised that some options that probably don't cost as much to produce end up in the MNW set moving forward.

Why would they save UE Big Poppa Pump for Ringside Fest?? Obscure names??? Big Poppa Pump is one of the biggest names of the MNW era!!

I hope Scotty is a Wal-Mart exclusive That will be fine with me!! I don't mind paying over a hundred dollars for figures on the secondary market if they're worth it.

What if the real Big Poppa Pump figure is the friends we made along the way?
I already have a Scott Steiner figure, but I don't have Sandman or Golga yet, so yeah, easy picks there for me.

Because the only figures in the MNW line they put effort into are the BAFs and, frankly, do we even want a BPP in the MNW line? Really? When nobody can find any of them NOW?
Not saying Steiner shouldn't have been shown, and who knows he may still be (doubtful), but I think I can safely say that the last place anyone wants him to be is in the MNW line. If you're gonna make him a store exclusive, give him to Target. Or, preferably, make him a regular release figure.
Let Hardcore Hak be in MNW. It means people who don't want that figure, or the Golga, don't have to worry about hunting till they run out of gas to find him.

I'd rather this version not be in the Monday Night Wars line so I have a chance at getting it without having to pay a scalper.

It’s my biggest want. That’s the way he appeared in WCW/nWo and it’s the way I remember him from my childhood. I just really hope Mattel bothers to give this version of Scotty sculpted biker shorts and short ankle boots. It’s incredibly annoying that we’re getting first in the line figures with just painted on legs, while one shot figures get new sculpts.
