After his ''friendship'' with Hogan ended the character was on borrowed time. Def the right time to change em up when they did. Typhoon was my fav run of his Oh yeah thank God we didnt get ''Sheik Tugboat''  |

I believe the plan was going to be Tugboat going around giving off some "Toot Toots!"
But seriously, I feel like when Tugboat went heel he and Hogan weren't even really tagging or anything like that. So the Hogan rub was already gone, so a heel turn made the most sense.
Especially when Earthquake wasn't doing anything, those two as a team I thought were gonna dominate the Tag Title scene once they got the belts off the LOD. I was way off on that one!

Does anyone know the real reason he wasn't in Hogan's corner vs Earthquake at Summerslam 1990? All the build-up in the angle is with him being Hulk's big pal, yet Boss Man ends up being jetted into the match.

Didn't watch at the time but I always assumed that Tugboat was after Typhoon lol.
