So the 4.”5 Savage is up for pre-order too, says est. delivery Jan 2025. I’m all for more Hasbro size figs but I need more info before I jump in

I’m all for more Hasbro size figs but I need more info before I jump in Based on what I have seen from every toy company and where things are at right now production-wise…January seems overly optimistic. My guess would be May. One delay and you’re cutting into Chinese New Year. There is a chance he will rework a few things before the final mold is created. I’m assisting AJ with several things right now but nothing else to really share at this time.

I like the 4.5" but wish it had a different pose instead of the same as the ljn style. Makes it feel like a miniature version

Do we know if there is an order cutoff date on these? Can the pre-order sell out or are these made to order similar to BRG?

The 4.5 inch Macho I believe is limited to 500; not sure about the LJN size. There is a lot more planned for the future as well. It will likely be discussed on this week’s 3POA Podcast due out late tonight/early tomorrow.

There is a lot covered here but I’m too tired at the moment to post notes. Mostly plans for the future with the various scales, variants, current timelines, etc. Also, his Facebook page has a tease for the next reveal. The only thing he told me was that it is neither Inoki nor a Bushwhacker: www.facebook.com/share/p/d4oQop11yz6JCZPC/?

I'm all for competition -- but I doubt the quality of these, and don't think they look any better than MWFP figures. What's the point... How will they sell enough to make it profitable?

I'd guess they're looking at smaller runs, maybe. I dunno. You'd assume they're gonna look at making different characters, and different looks. It'll be interesting to see it unfold, though the overall pricing and general"buy now or miss out" theme of this LJN stuff turns me away from dabbling.

Saw the video. Seems like a good guy, and I am hoping this line can be good, especially if there is fun homage style packaging, which would differentiate it from BRGs. I’m still going to wait this out and observe with curiosity until people get the first wave (Macho) in hand. I get that he is the biggest name available, but I would be more likely to buy in if it’s talent of the era that BRGs haven’t done or announced yet, like Hercules, Dino Bravo or Butch Reed.

I had only seen the pictures, but after your post, I watched the video. He does seem like a good guy. If that's true, I feel bad for him. I really feel like he's going to lose time and money on this, with not much to show. IMO, Macho is a massive mistake given how popular the Major Pod is, and how good their figures are.

It’s weird to me how everyone keeps chiming in on how “good” of a guy he seems to be. First of all, what is there to base that on? He just gave out vague information in a matter of fact way. Second, who cares? Were y'all expecting him to hop on camera with a Hitler mustache and call for a figure genocide?

Second, who cares? Were y'all expecting him to hop on camera with a Hitler mustache and call for a figure genocide? At the end of the day, it will be about the quality of the product. But until we get to that point, these small companies are “selling” us on how genuine they appear. He comes across to me as one of us, a fan who is looking to expand his and our collections. Others, who I won’t name here, come across more like the stereotypical used car salesmen who don’t really care about us, talk down to us disrespectfully, and are only interested in squeezing as much money out of us as possible. But as Major Pod says, it’s the “toy business” not “toy friendship.” So I do see your point. But at this stage, presented character also has meaning, to me at least.

Not too much new news that wasn’t covered on 3POA last week. -Teasers for the next signee have been posted. One image is of a fist and the other is the Taj Mahal. -AJ denied the story told on last week’s MWFP episode. Not sure if it was a case of mistaken identity, if someone is being untruthful, or maybe even a joke didn’t land with Matt. Apparently he wasn’t in the state at the time of SDCC. This would match up with something he told me days prior (that he was vacationing with his family in New York). kanik89 can you please set the record straight? For anyone that missed last week’s news: -There are plans to do something similar to Hasbro 2Ups, unreleased articulated LJN’s, and some kind of throwback to the Jakks Superstars (not sure if he meant BCA or Classic). -The LJN scale will have another Macho Man released with a look that will either be really popular or a complete bust. -Wave 2 will be announced soon. -AJ admitted the shrunken LJN/Hasbro height 4.5 inch articulated figures may not be a success but it’s something he really wanted to try. -Side by side photos with Hasbro should come later this month. -Targeted ship date for the first 4.5 inch Macho is January 2025 and will be limited to 500. -Sounds like there will also be an interesting attire choice for a second Macho Man.

Latoonie has signed Ric Flair. I’m noticing a pattern! lol As an LJN themed collector, I don’t like this. I wish they would differentiate their roster from BRGs. Imagine if they were first to do The Rougeaus, Dino Bravo, Butch Reed, or LJN re-dos of Hercules or One Man Gang?

If thats the case then I made a mistake. When he bought from Major Bendies I would ship to California. The guy who approached Matt looked very familiar so I thought it was him. I see a lot of people at the conventions and talk to many people. So it's easy to confuse people. Honest mistake.

Are you trying to say all Canadians look alike, buddy? lol Thank you for the honest response kanik89 - I figured that was the most likely scenario. Anything else would have been a red flag. AJ seems ambitious but not ignorant of contracts and copyrights. That story from SDCC sounded too real to be made up but also would have been fairly malicious if it were. Thanks again for clarifying and hopefully the word gets out that he wasn’t the guy making those impossible pitches!

Latoonie has signed Ric Flair. I’m noticing a pattern! lol I don't mind this at all. Let's see what they can produce. While I really loved the BRG ring gear Flair as soon as I saw the first pics, there are a few things that I noticed once I got it in hand that I think leaves wiggle room for improvement, and same goes for the BRG line as a whole. Lots of great figures, but their style does deviate a little from vintage LJNs with certain details, even though they are the closest so far. Let's see how close they can get to capturing the feel of these being a continuation of the LJNs, that is, if that's the direction they plan to take with these.
