Ah. So that's where the extra budget for the earrings, boots, and winged eagle belt went. At least the Michaels one looks decent.... would look better with a title to hold though. He doesn’t need a title. This is an entrance only HBK meant only for MOC collectors. Don't gatekeep dude. Figures are for anyone. And if it was entrance only, they wouldn't have bothered adding the crying headsculpt that is specifically from the moment at the end. One of the promotional shots is specifically showing that moment and, yeah, it looks weird without the belt. I have a whole cardboard box of discarded packaging from the Jazwares vault ROH series in my kitchen right now. I have a loose Anna Jay chase on my Dark Order shelf that I bought MOC and then ripped out of it. If I get this, the packaging is also going in the trash. Some of us just like pretty little statues we can look at on a shelf. And there's nothing wrong with that. |

Feels like everyone is just mailing it in this year for their SDCC exclusives. Nothing I’ve seen from anyone has created much excitement. NECA’s offerings are lukewarm. Super7, Jada, etc as well. Maybe Hasbro has something up their sleeve.

Maybe Hasbro has something up their sleeve. Seems as though you have high expectations. I absolutely cannot wait for this one (better then last years imo) and Evil Ken, and Chun Li. On the flipside Hasbro is no longer making MMPR, so they have nothing for me. |

There have been figs I’ve paid to have early access to (normally in other lines) but this is getting it the same time WE are. |

I get what they were going for with the closed eyes, but without the belt it’s odd.
I wish they added that same head sculpt with open eyes and a normal non-smiling/non-screaming face.
I feel like Mattel has never gotten a normal faced, hair down HBK right from the 96-98 era except for the WM 14 sculpt, which oddly was one and done.

Awesome looking figure, though I do wish the hearts had more detail. His 1996 tights often had various textures and materials used. These look very flat. Even Jakks added detail to their CS1 HBK.
