So this time last year a lot were calling Ali a failure. Regardless if this goes on to sell out in the coming days or weeks, we have to consider this a failure of epic proportions as well, correct? So where do go from here? Surely they should stop doing exclusives to save themselves from the embarrassment year after year. Can't call it a failure already, if it's still being offered on the site a year from now sure. No one gave Ali a year before calling it a failure. It was deemed a failure in less than 24 hours. |

Why do you want them to go back to the super exclusives almost impossible to get figures? If it sells out too quick and you miss out you're gonna go crazy. I'd rather it be easy to purchase and not sell out in 2 minutes as well as having the option to purchase in a few months if I didn't have the cash at the time of release instead of having to overpay twice as much (if not more) down the line. |

If it sells out too quick and you miss out you're gonna go crazy. I'd rather it be easy to purchase and not sell out in 2 minutes as well as having the option to purchase in a few months if I didn't have the cash at the time of release instead of having to overpay twice as much (if not more) down the line. But no one believes that they upped the production numbers. These are just figures no one wants. |

Of course there was negativity (as is the norm of the Boards, like the lame argument over the lack of a belt), but overall, Boarders liked it. |

This is like the 4th wm12 hbk they put out and the torsos too big so if it doesnt sell well then i would guess thats why

The problem with Ali WWE probably paid a pretty penny to get him under a legends deal hence all the figures we've got in the last year.

I think overall the Ali figure just was not what some people would've wanted, I can't say all or a majority because I don't have numbers to say otherwise. In my purchasing power, I could've done without it. I would have much rather seen this Shawn be the exclusive last year than this year, due to in large part that even though Mania was in LA; it's close enough to Anaheim where WM 12 was to commemorate Shawn's win. There's home runs and strike outs with the figures, that's just the way it is. I hope Mattel realizes that some niche variations won't fly as good as the memorable in-ring moments. It's SDCC so I understand the desire to want to offer something to a wide variety of purchasers but I would safely say 80-90% of their purchasers want superstars of yesterday and today rather than maybe a moment. The only exceptions would be in my eyes is a Tyson and Rodman, those two moments took their respective storylines to another level. |

IIRC at some point before Ali they mentioned that moving forward SDCC exclusives would be easier to get after the NHB and Slaughter UE had been difficult to get. |

As someone who wasn’t able to an afford the figure yet but still wants to pick it up, I have zero complaints about it potentially being available when I get my next paycheck. 🤷♀️

Can’t recall if they were back in full swing with No Holds Barred with available product there (didn’t ship from MC until first of October). |

Steve confirmed on the Major Bros Podcast that HBK was supposed to come out later and they pulled it from there to be the SDCC exclusive which is why it’s not coming out until much later. I hope one day they reveal what was initially supposed to be the SDCC exclusive.
