Got my Elite 109 Seth Rollins yesterday from Ringside. I added the sunglasses & fur coat that came with the Elite Carmello Hayes. Looks much better now. I don’t like the weird snot green gold color they used on his tights. The coat covers that up more, plus the way I have him displayed right now, he’s on the 2nd shelf so you can’t see his legs as much. I originally had those sunglasses on my LA Knight, but swapped those out for more rounded like he wears ones that look better as well. I do wish the belt he came with had generic WWE plates instead of the Seth ones. I guess this is how belts will be going forward unfortunately. Luckily, the vest on my Damien Priest covers up the side plates, but that won’t always be the case depending on who has the title. Pics below.

I think this is one of those situations where I actually think the tights are okay. The figure looks cool too. I think Mattel has done worse with gold like the Wrestlemania 33 Seth which looked more closer to a cheap dollar store kind of gold color.

Jazwares does a much better job with their metallic paints than Mattel I'd say.

I wonder how hard a fixup this would be with the overpiece from that one CSSD basic and a pair of suited arms. Seems like it would be pretty straightforward if you didn't want the cloth goods coat.

It's weird because there have been a few times where Mattel have really nailed the gold color. The example that springs to my mind immediately is the boots and the jewelry on the SDCC exclusive Mr. T. They seem to be cast in the same bleh mustardy yellow color, but they've been finished with a metallic, shimmery paint/varnish. I understand that a full pair of tights is a much larger surface area than some boots and a few accessories, but surely it's not so prohibitively expensive that it can't be budgeted for, especially in the case of a premium figure like the Mattel Creations ultimate Cody.
