Looking to pick up an Earthquake and Typhoon. I wasn’t collecting during the time when they were released and I just wondered if there was much (if any) difference between the Then, Now, Forever set and the greatest hits versions?

Nothing different except for the added articulation on the greatest hits figures.

Is the Earthquake taller the same way the Canadian version from Royal Rumble 90?

I noticed the other day that the GH Earthquake is missing the red kneepads that the TNF (and superstars) figure has. Typhoon is pretty much the same.

The originals have the shorter boots/ shorter height. The original typhoon also has bigger arms

The new ones are way taller (and that appears to be the right move based on other collectors I've spoken to, seems like the originals might've been too short in hindsight) and the new Earthquake doesn't have knee pads (sometimes he wore them, sometimes he didn't).
I plan on buying the new ones eventually cause I do think they're an upgrade in scale and throwing the knee pads from the old one on Quake

Sounds like mattel is making up for errors in the past. Repetition makes perfection.

The Earthquake was bad off when it came to height, but now it’s just missing the knee pads
