I'm a year behind on the Major Wrestling Figure podcast. In March 2023, on the RSC Best Sellers list, the Elites were from Series 102.
One full year later, we're only at Elite 107. Seems like a slowdown compared to previous years, or am I wrong?

The Elites production/release schedule were always every two months for 6 sets a year and that’s about what it still is.

this can only mean 1 thing.. Mattel is dying That no. Their quarterly revenue reports show otherwise. What could be the reason however is too many different ips and too many wwe figure lines each one with different packaging and molds. That slows down each individual line as the tooling/machines/etc has to be reset when production ends on one and begins on another. I dont know any other line like the elites that is on series 100+. So the elite line is very deep. Enjoy it while it lasts.

I have not been collecting these from the start (2010) to know if quality is going downhill but i have heard others say similar things. At least, compared to hasbro, mattel does not own any disney ips so if they are dying it is gonna be a slow death instead of a meldown at (pun intended) of plastic when ollies sends back (to hasbro) all the wakanda forever sherri copters they cant sell for free (ollies would never do that ofcourse, just making the point that hasbro is a dead man walking so long as they keep making marvel and star wars toys that dont sell)

Thanks for hijacking the thread and a serious question. There have only been 5 sets released over the past full year -- that is slower than average.
This is the start of Mattel's 15th year. Even if we give them the full year, the rate of release would be there are 75 Elite sets.
So this really is truly slower than average, and I was asking a real question.

Elite LA Knight is taking forever to come out while they cannot wait to crank out a Levis sponsored CM Punk.

It would look cool if it had a canopy but something like this would get the operator killed on the battlefield if it existed in real life.

I actually asked this same exact question in another thread, pointing out the same thing about three months ago and Steve showed up personally to correct me and assure me that the main elite line schedule is the same it's been for years now. So take that however you wish.

Going by RSC probably isn’t the most accurate way to determine how many series were technically released in a calendar year.
