Unless I am misremembering, we used to get 4 Legends series, lasting 3 months each, per year at Target, am I correct?
We had Legends 21 had a release date of Sunday January 7. They hit the shelves that day, and you could order them that day for immediate pickup. Per the thread, a lot of us did just that. Based on the previous 3 month timeframe, I had assumed that Legends 22 was going to be on shelves Sunday April 7 (which is coincidentally Wrestlemania weekend and I was hoping to add Legends 22 to my Wrestlemania display this year), but when I looked at these figures on Target's site, they have a release date of April 28, so 3 weeks later.
This means that Legends 21 is lasting basically 4 months instead of 3, so I am wondering if that is a new pattern, giving us less Legends series each year. Which would make it January, May, and September for start dates for new series. Which fits the shopping seasons I guess.
Maybe this is being taken up by the Legends Greatest Hits figures? OR - I am just reading too much into it.

I know the Target Ultimates are going to four a year from 2 so it wouldn't make sense to cut back to 3 series a year plus Steve said there were going to be two more Hulk Hogan's in series 24 and 24 this year but this does need to be addressed.

The new wave usually coincide with Target’s seasonal resets so there’s still three resets to go so there should still be three more sets of Legends this year.

Please don’t jinx me, I just got hit for all 4 of the Wave 1 ML Wolverine 50 anniversary 2 packs, my 2 Classified Vamps, the full MNW series 1 wave, GI Joe Classified Quick Kick, Big Boa, and 4 Techno Vipers, and Marvel Legends Pulse Exclusive Daredevil/Hydroman VHS card 2 pack. Plus, Classified Retrocard Duke, Scarlett, and Recondo have moved up to next week, oh, and I just ordered the CC Hart Foundation and the Nitro Ultimate ring. I think we can chill until early May until I’m out the scratch for The next 5 legends and both Ultimate Yokos…edit… ! I still have to grab my 2 Terry Gordy’s, my Lex, and my X-Pac from the PPV wave.

Be careful, you'll get some posters stirred up that less legends are going to be available.

I thought it would still be 4 sets a year since UE are now 4 a year. Ultimate legend with each legends elite series starting this year

Should be three more sets this year, wave 22 should be hitting shelves in the next few weeks along with UE Yoko.

I think Target did a better job representing the Monday Night War than Walmart. Hollywood Hogan, Scott Hall, Kevin Nash, Wolfpac Luger, NWO Macho Man, all of ‘98 DX, 2000 Triple H, Nation Kama, D-Lo, ‘97 Undertaker, Ken Shamrock, the Acolytes, and the list goes on.
Granted, that’s like 4 years of the Legends line versus 2 series of the Monday Night War line, only one of which has barely hit stores. But just comparing the Monday Night War between both lines is no comparison to me. But if you’re someone that’s been dying for Luger’s Fabio shirt or Canadian Tuxedo Scott Hall, I can see why you would disagree with me. If they’re not in wrestling gear, they’re the equivalent of Arctic Armor Batman or Stealth Ninja Wolverine. I’m just not interested. At least DX Army had wrestling gear underneath. I think the only exception I could make is jeans and NWO shirts like that Hall of Fame 4-pack from 9 years ago.

April 28 is still April - not May.
We get 4 sets a year - obviously, they aren't always going to be released exactly 12 weeks apart.
The sets usually hit stores 1-3 weeks before the placeholder date on the website.
January, April, July, October have been pretty consistent since the series started back up again.

I'd say if anything, starting the 1st Wave on Jan. 7th is pretty damn early in the year.... so there should be some wiggle-room to get all four series out.
Plus, didn't they do the "Greatest Hits" as an added Legends shipper last year? And didn't it sell out real quick? So I'd be shocked if they don't do another one of those in 2024.... so that would actually be a "fifth wave" so to speak....

The new Legends tags are put out with each dept reset planogram. And there 4 resets a year. So that equals 4 legend set a year. Targets in my area have started getting ready for the next reset by putting a lot of the lines on sale to clear out the old product. Last week was the WWE & ML this past week McFarlane DC and GI Joe were marked down.

Legends is the main line I'm interested in (along with MNW), so I want as many as possible!
