Would love them to do RSC Macho King,OG Elite Regal & OG Elite Cody Mattel lost the rights to Macho Man so Macho King is one figure that can't be re-released. Speculation is that Macho has been resigned since he is in 2k24 DLC. I am aware that video game appearances =/= figs but that theory has been proven false here lately as it seems 2K only works with WWE signed talent the same as Mattel. Even if Macho appearing in the game is a one off signing it doesn’t mean he’s forever off the table for Mattel as they have been very optimistic that he’ll be resigned. |

Why many people as a collector so devastated with the re release. Mafex is doing it, Hasbro is doing it. What's the problem? As a fan I need that character in my collection, why would I collect item for value, which is being sold as a toy LOl. There are many other things which are valuable just don't buy toys then 😆 Just because something is made as a toy doesn’t mean it can’t be considered collectible or valuable. That’s like saying a vinyl record can’t be considered a collectible because it’s meant to be listened to. |

Anything else was just poorly distributed and people like to feel better about themselves that they have something someone else doesn’t. “I was luckier than you! Pay me $100 human dollars!”
Again, for those who think I’m overly pessimistic, I’m just a realist. I love my figures. They give me serotonin boosts, but at the end of the day it’s all temporary so I don’t put a ton of stock into the “investment” of them. If I get tired of some and make a buck, cool. If not hopefully someone else can just enjoy them. I do love this community, but sometimes the hobby becomes an addiction/mental illness.

It’s a hobby that’s supposed to be fun, not a compulsion that needs to be fed. Glad to see some get it. |

The people who need every figure from every line, which they obviously don’t “need”. It’s a hobby that’s supposed to be fun, not a compulsion that needs to be fed. Glad to see some get it. It’s a reason I always put “need” in quotes. Personally, I collect for the nostalgia/look of the figures. I have a timeframe I collect of and anything outside of that, I skip… for the most part. |

I don't really care about how rare figures are. I open AEW Chases.

I don’t want my figures to hold value because I am hoping to sell them. I just dont want something rare and sought after to lose its value. Let me describe my mindset as a collector more clear. When the first Harley Race figure was released, it was impossible to find. I never once saw any figure from that series in my Walmart. It totally sucked, but I knew that if I wanted it badly enough for my collection , then I’d have to pay scalper prices. Yes scalpers suck, but no one forced me to buy it. I was willing to pay over retail to ensure that I can add this figure to my collection. I paid $65 plus shipping for it way before it went into the hundreds territory. Years later, that figure gets a rerelease. I was upset this figure was going to lose value, but I was just as upset that I paid $65 plus shipping for it when everyone is now getting it for retail. I don’t like how these companies rerelease to the point where everything is just worth retail. Why couldn’t people save to pay like I did to try to add a valuable piece to their collection? Same goes with the Taker. I spent nearly $200 for that Taker years into the line and now all of a sudden its going to be $30. That’s very frustrating for someone that works hard for their money and also works hard for their collection. |

I’m guilty of not being the most patient either, but I’m happy that people want something can get it without paying an arm and a leg. When I started collecting the Road Dogg elite had just came out and I thought I’d missed it. Only saw listings for $50+ on eBay. Was patient and found a couple. Eventually they would make other versions, but wouldn’t be at all upset if they made an updated version. Also that Harley still comes with a BaF piece that the new one doesn’t. It should still hold some value, but no regular elite should ever be $300. That’s gross. Cool for people that can afford that, but I could buy 3 sets of elites for that price… |

Every single one of these had single joint arms, stagnant hands, and many had bad face scans (some of which unfortunately still do on the Vault releases). The argument that they should never release these again is stupid

Also, I’m getting the legends themed figs from this series, but I think I’m going to keep the originals too, because, they are just different enough for me to keep, and they have another place in my collection now, so I can pose THESE better, and leave the other ones more static posed…if that makes sense. IIRC that is the first Phenom-era attire (Survivor Series 1996) I always thought it looked great…it eventually involved into his 1997-early ‘99 look. And ‘97-‘99 IMO is PEAK Underaker. That is my Definitive era, and with the MNW, The Legends, the Ultimate, the old Network Spotlight, and a better rerelease here. We kinda have that whole era covered. |
