I'm just curious if there is enough interest in a Rock n Wrestling era line.
Rock n wrestling was what got me into Wrestling back in the 80s. Around wrestlemania 1 when wwf made mainstream pop culture. In addition to a two part Cyndi Lauper Goonies video on MTV. Most are under deals and some may still be under a deal or could be signed with some luck. Just wondering if there would be enough interest and which looks or figures you would like. Stylized cartoons? Attires/pirate gear from the video. More realistic looks from wwf events from that era? Special packaging?
Already signed Hulk Hogan Nikolai Volkoff Capt Lou Iron Shiek Roddy Piper Andre the Giant Wendi Richter Big John Studd
Possibly still signed Blassie Junkyard Dog
Needs to be signed or brought back Tito Santana Cyndi Lauper Mr Fuji
Likely not included Snuka Moolah

I’d buy Piper, Snuka, Hogan, Studd, JYD & Iron Sheik if they looked like the cartoon. One of my only regrets was back in the day I had 3”(?) eraser figures of the cartoon that I gave to my cousins with my LJN, Hasbro, Remco, GI Joes and Megos. I wish I hadn’t done that.

I’d probably only buy Fuji. Maybe Volkoff
And only if they’re elite style

I think Superstars is the "cartoonish" line for the moment....
But when that runs its course, this would be a cool line for Mattel to explore!
I just don't see them running both lines at the same time....

I’d buy them all, it’s the only era of wrestling I watched religiously and still watch to this day.

I'd absolutely love this. Would buy them all. Prefer superstars form but I'd buy elite as well.

When i think of the rock n wrestling cartoon I think ljn style figures. Would be a great way for mattel to test that market. Big rubber guys has been a huge success. Mattel could fill some gaps that they can’t do

I would LOVE a dedicated Hulk Hogan’s Rock n Wrestling line. It really shouldn’t be straight elite, Superstars style could work though. But I’d personally prefer an animated-Neca style figure. Either way, the charm will also be in the 80’s style unique packaging.

A few looks from Goonies music video: That’s fun, but LJNs (number 1 by a mile) and Hulk Hogan’s Rock n Wrestling (number 2) definitely hold more nostalgia appeal for me.

A pretty cool artist made some limited runs of these. They seemed pretty perfect for display but obviously they weren’t licensed:

I think there would be a lot of crossover appeal for a Rock n Wrestling line. I'd be most likely to buy if they were Elite form factor and not overly stylized/cartoony like those. I could see people buying them in the Superstars form factor as well.

Great idea

Mr. Fuji, Mean Gene, and Bobby Heenan (yellow suit) were definitely in it. Not sure about Macho Man.
