Let go by Anthem today. Haven’t seen a reason why yet.

Anthem Sports & Entertainment Inc., a global multi-platform media company, announced today the appointment of Anthony Cicione as the President of TNA Wrestling.
The move aims to further integrate TNA Wrestling into Anthem’s Entertainment Group, of which Cicione is the President, leveraging the entire Company’s resources to add more value in areas including production, distribution, marketing, viewership, customer acquisition, digital revenue streams, ad sales and sponsorships, digital tech operations, and more.
Cicione replaces Scott D’Amore, whose contract with Anthem has been terminated. D’Amore has been a part of TNA since 2003. He held many key leadership positions and played a vital role in the growth of the company leading to its strong industry reputation today, including the successful return of the TNA Wrestling brand in 2024. Anthem thanks him for the commitment he brought to the business, the talent, and the people who work outside the ring.
In addition to these duties as President of Entertainment, Cicione will now manage the day-to-day business operations for TNA Wrestling. He brings more than 30 years of executive-level management experience to the organization. Cicione has been with Anthem for the last 16 years, managing technical operations and multiple cable and digital channels. Prior to his time with Anthem, Cicione was a producer of sports content including catapulting The Score to success by bringing WWE to the channel.

This is very surprising, Scott has bleed tna for so long. I feel like there is more to this story. I'm curious where this goes from here.

WOW! Crazy news! I feel really bad for D'amore losing his job, especially after all he put into the company.

So someone who doesn't know how to book a wrestling show with proper angles and matches.... gotcha.
Makes perfect sense to put him on power. It's like Jim Herd in WCW all over again!

Not to be that guy:
Is this just a corporate power play? Or is something coming down the pipeline for D'Amore (lawsuit/me-too-ed) that the company is preemptively nuking everything to get away from it?
Seems real sudden and unceremonious if it is just a corporate power play.

I saw someone online post, this is about as TNA a decision that TNA could possibly make.

Unless there is more to this story that we don't know about, this is the dumbest thing TNA could possibly have done. Even if they are trying to restructure, why would you ditch the guy who actually made you relevant again?
makes no gd sense.

Report coming out that all this was over was money. D’a more wanted to spend more money to make the company bigger, draw some names, but anthem was comfortable with the small profit the company was making and they didn’t want to change the formula. That’s it…..

Another update: there was a disagreement in how TNA was being run aka money. And D’amore actually lined up investors to make a pitch to buy TNA from anthem to run it how he saw fit, they said no and thus here we are.

The man announces TNA's return and they congratulate him by announcing his firing.
They gonna pull a Vince, and bury TNA so they can sell it.

I read today that Tommy Dreamer got pointed in charge of TNA now as the creative writer and booker. I suppose that's good, I wonder now how many wrestlers in TNA will be like, "oh... well.... uh.... thanks for everything you did, Scott. We welcome Tommy on board as our boss!"

Tommy is just part of creative, from what I’ve read.
Either way, TNA will continue to remain a Indy promotion with a TV spot until big changes are made.
