More Rumble stuff during Rumble season...
Does anyone else agree? I'd say it's as bad as 95,96,99,2022,2015,2012 etc... just bad stuff overall.
It should have been Daniel Bryan winning or at least have Batista throw em out in the final two... they didn't even let him compete in the match ffs. I'd even say CM Punk deserved to win it.
I know we all dislike smarky / Mark crowds but I cant blame em for hijacking the show... what a lame Rumble.

I've been watching a lot of these recently in anticipation of this year's rumble and 1994 was a real dud. Lex and Bret are the final two, they both go over the top at the same time and it's determined they both won. It was confusing and messy. The rest of the match as a whole was really dull too. I forgot the name of one particular Japanese competitor but he's in black trunks and just kind of stands around a lot in the middle of the match, waiting for his spots, he really stuck out to me. I used fast forward quite a bit during this rumble.

It was the WWE basically telling the fans "We know who's going to win, you know who's going to win and we dont care whether you like it or not!". The Rumble matched sucked but they ended up doing an even worse one next year.

Was this the first sorta event/match where the fans, dead inside from the booking catastrophes since the attitude/RA era died out, where they just said it… let’s let em know how we really feel, this crap and give us what we want to see for a change… a vibe which has stuck around since, I feel like every rumble match since is a test of how on the pulse of the fan base the WWE are, they certainly didn’t learn a year later but have since adjusted how they produce the match itself to give the audience genuine joys even if it isn’t always the happiest ending.

Even though it was the pre show The Outlaws winning the belts was the highlight of the night and Bryan Vs Wyatt was solid.
I did enjoy the Rumble match until it became clear that Batista was going to win.

I thought 2000 and 2009 were worse. 2009 had RVD & Santino

I thought 2000 and 2009 were worse. 2009 was great tbh. I've rarely heard anyone say it was bad.

I thought 2000 and 2009 were worse. 2009 was great tbh. I've rarely heard anyone say it was bad. I didn't like how they had Legacy in there with Orton for half the match/all the way up to the end. I get that was the whole point of Legacy storyline wise but it ruins the fun/chaoitc every man for himself element of the Royal Rumble for me. I felt the same about when they did it with Punk/New Nexus another year but that didn't last for the whole match. What made that Royal Rumble great in your opinion? Maybe I'm forgetting about something cool that happened. Off hand, I only remember the Santino fast elimination thing and a little face off moment between Kane and Undertaker.

Probably the only time fans genuinely cheered for Roman.

Haven't watched it in a while but I don't believe it is THE worst off of memory alone. I'll echo others by saying it gave us one of the final organic moments babyface Roman will enjoy, and the next year's is much more egregious in "sticking it" to the fans. Bryan's exclusion is a huge black eye, perilously defended by his condition even though he had competed on the damn show already.

You're crowding the page and it is getting a bit redundant. You could easily make one thread regarding the best & worst rumbles, or, at a minimum, make one thread about the best rumbles and a second thread about the worst rumbles. Enough already.

Yea 2014 was far from good by all means that you would have thought because of the whole Bryan situation that it would have been labeled the worst rumble ever. Then 2015 came along and said “imma take that honor right from ya”.
2015 was unbelievably worse. Beyond Bryans redemption arc having no meaning whatsoever (regardless of winning or losing), Your final guys include Big Slow and Corporate Kane (who you spent your future stars - Wyatt, Ziggler, etc… putting over), Rock gets booed out of the building which is a first, you get Bubba Ray without Devon. The whole thing was an absolute atrocity. There is no redeeming quality to the 2015 Rumble match.

I haven't watched it in some time but don't think it was bad by any means. People dislike it because of who won, or more specifically, who didn't win.

The concept of Batista and Orton main eventing Mania in 2014 really is mind boggling. Crazy that was the story we were building toward. Such bad show but a show with big implications. Can’t believe 10 whole years of went by.
