The Rock comes out to the biggest ovations possibly in WWE history. I’m sure he’s still plenty liked by the general public 😋 Rock still gets love from the crowd tbh

I still love the Rock, but even I can see how fake he is.

Roman doesn’t need the belts and he doesn’t need to remain unbeaten for the story with The Rock to work.
The belts aren’t the story - being the “Head of the Table” is. Roman can spend the next year imploding after losing to Cody, scratching and clawing and insisting he’s still the Head of the Table until Rock finally confronts him ahead of WrestleMania 41.

If Roman needs the belts to "look strong" for Rock then the last 8 years of keeping Roman strong hasn't worked.
If he's THAT good he can do it without the title.

Disagree. The Head of the Table is a WINNER. The Bloodline are supposed to be WINNERS. The top faction. Roman is supposed to be the MAN. No one at all will care about him and the Bloodline once he loses. What, they can still run down and beat people up? And only the Rock can straighten this mean faction out? Boring. Roman has to remain at the top of the food chain for the Rock match to work. Has to. So as I posted on the last page (and maybe Mr Tusk might agree with), maybe Rock as a ref is the way to go since he's getting older. He turns on Cody during WM. Cody loses again. The Rock and his Samoan FAMILY are still at the top.

You’ve just kinda proved my point - the Head of the Table is a winner, so when Roman loses and spends the next year trying to convince everyone he’s STILL the top guy, it furthers the storyline with The Rock. Rock will come along and say “now hang on a minute, you’re the Head of the Table but you lost..?” You also need to remember Roman has A LOT in the bank after 1245+ days as champion. One loss doesn’t invalidate him.

Roman already got pinned last summer. See, he's fine. God mode and all that In a tag match though right? Plus he has his belts. The story is Rock (Samoan) vs the KING of WWE (Samoan) for all the glory. If Roman loses to Cody before that, he's no longer the king of anything ... just another Samoan. R-Truth is older than Dwayne is btw. And both are in amazing shape. I'll gladly be wrong about him never wrestling again, but I bet he could do it with ease.

IMHO, Rock beating Roman at WM41 is a MUCH better story than Cody is. I'm sorry, but Dusty was never a huge part of WWF. It just doesn't have the emotion behind it that WWE and Cody want it to have. Rock has emotion and will always have it. Have Roman beat Cody again, then have Rock beat Roman, then he gives up the belt for a tournament. Cody can win that. Seriously, someone change my mind. I open to changing it. How is King Samoan Super Champion losing to the most famous Samoan wrestler of all time NOT a better story than ... uhhhhh my dad never won it here so I want to do it for him. I think of Dusty as NWA/JCP. He was champion. He was in huge matches. He was in Vince's dad's company for a hot minute, then came back and was made fun of. Let me know why that is the better story. On paper. Don't tell me about Cody's in ring speech that was pre-written to make it sound good for TV. Change my mind!

Rock being 1 more year older isn’t going to make this match more achievable.

What a troll. Someone whos admitted on more than one occasion that they don't even watch WWE, and that they don't watch wrestling for stories just the bangers is now telling us Rock/Roman is a better story than Cody winning the belt Dusty never did.

But he wasn't fine when he wrestled Cena....he was blown up like a balloon and hurt himself. Plus he was chewing air like Bubble gum after 2 moves on Mahal... Also 2024 Reigns isnt 2012 Cena....He has his own issues. He needs an opponent to bounce like a pinball for him sometimes lead and help control the pace of the match...that isn't the Rock in 2024. Reigns limitations due his own genuine condition have been carefully covered with a string of VERY capable opponents. No objection to Rock vs Reigns...as long as its Dwayne looking at the lights in Perth after an 8 minute brawl that covers up both men's limitations. IE Not a WM main Event.

It's not rocket science but it is funny watching fools go thru the mental gymnastics to try and justify Rock v Roman this year I just love seeing all the Cody haters fantasy book Cody out of the match. Sure, Cody lost last year. But they pushed for Sami. That didn't work. This year they had Punk AND Rock. That didn't work. Still some time til Mania so WWE could always pull some ery. But....Cody is the guy. Dread it. Run from it. Destiny arrives all the same.
