I think Rock will use the Vince drama as an excuse for not having a match with Reigns despite how much he's "clamoring" for it. He does not care. At all. I know I'm probably in the minority but Dwayne is a mega egomaniac and he's completely see through. I know a ton of people love him still but I'm not 13 anymore. I don't care about singing and schoolyard insults His backroom politicking & "big man" bullsh#t at WB over Black Adam done me in with him. The blatant bullcrap he spewed in interviews during the promotion of the movie was genuinely galling to me.

Still love Dwayne, but I’ve never been a big fan of his pro wrestling work outside when he was a heel. Babyface Rock bores me. I just have no interest in seeing him wrestle again. And if I did, I’d want him to face Kevin Owens. Not Roman.

I was thinking about this today ...
The WWE still plans to do Rock/Roman. Cool. That's fine. But ... if you do it after Cody finishes his "story", that kills Rock/Roman because Roman won't have his belts and his mojo anymore. Rock is supposed to take on King Roman, not loser Roman.
If you have Rock/Roman before Cody ... again, Roman loses his mojo and it will take away from Cody's "big win" because Roman is no longer "unbeatable".
WWE has a problem here. There are only a few solutions IMHO ...
- Roman beats Rock before the Cody match. Rock does the deed! Roman is now a monster. Cody then gets the huge win.
- Rock beats Roman ... and takes the belts! Remember, Rock said blah blah Head of Table blah. We all think this means he's going to straighten Roman out. But no ... ROCK is Head of the Table! Know your role, Roman. Cody is beating the Rock, not Roman, for the story.
- FAMILY FIRST. We all saw it with Fast and Furious lol. We're supposed to think Rock is going to slap around heel Roman and knock some sense into him. But what if Rock goes heel instead? What if Rock is the referee for Roman/Cody? What if he turns on Cody? The Bloodline reigns supreme!
Crazy, I know. Thoughts?

This post has got me thinking and I’m starting to think The Rock doesn’t actually even want to wrestle Roman. I think he really just wants people talking about him. No way he’s going to risk serious injury at his age.

No way he’s going to risk serious injury at his age. I think you’re onto something. He has a bunch of failures recently, needs people talking about him and a bounce back. Teases a big match that will never happen and joins the board of the new WWE parent group. No one is talking about Black Adam, Young Rock, or XFL. They are talking about him and WWE in a positive light (pre recent news that broke). Now there will be renewed interest in whatever projects he has coming up.

The Rock comes out to the biggest ovations possibly in WWE history. I’m sure he’s still plenty liked by the general public 😋

No way he’s going to risk serious injury at his age. Rock is the fakest person I've ever seen. He doesn't want a match. If he actually enjoyed WWE he would have been wrestling periodically like Cena has (at least once a year for the last 7 years or so since he's been in Hollywood full-time). Rock has more money to spend for 100 lifetimes. If he actually cared, he would have made a match happen. Holding it off for years and years and years makes it less and less likely. He's full of crap.

He will be close to 53 by the time Wrestlemania 41 hits. It will have been 12 years since he last actually wrestled a match. A match in which he tore his abdomen. At 40, it’s a hell of a lot easier to bounce back from that than it is at 52. Like I said, he gets hurt in a match against Roman, it can prevent him from working for an extended amount of time. For a guy that is constantly working it, it wouldn’t be worth it.

You ever see when people see The Rock out in public?? He’s one of the most liked people on the planet, by far. He’s doing just fine.

He could have trained to be in better shape than when he wrestled Cena. You never hear about abdominal tears in active wrestlers, he wasn't in shape. He's faker than anyone and doesn't deserve to be in a ring, let alone at WM.

I understand he’s not your cup of tea but people freak the F out over him.

Another thing in the Rock vs Reigns equation is Roman Reigns himself...
Roman has his own issues. He NEEDS someone energetic to bounce like a pinball for his offence & help him control the pace of the match. The Rock is not that wrestler.
I personally think its no coincidence RR was in a fatal 4 way with 2 of the best workers in WWE history & a tremendous up & comer in Knight. He could be feeling the pinch from his own legitimately serious health issues at this point.
That's why I never bought into Punk vs Reigns from Day 1. He isn't up to the job...Cody is the man here for many reasons.

You mean on red carpets? What do you expect? As someone said his movies have been bombing. The general public is over him. Why do you hate The Rock? I've already mentioned it - he's so fake and artificial. He says stuff like "I'm home and I'm never ever going away" and then hasn't had a meaningful match in 12 years. He doesn't have the balls to actually admit he has no priority for WWE and keeps stringing everyone along just to disappoint. He have had countless opportunities for dream matches and is in the position to make them happen. He has more money than God, it's not about the money. If he "loved" the business 1% as he claims he does, he could easily take a couple months and make it happen. As I wrote, he has more money to last 200 lifetimes. He does not care. He also has no spine. He's a democratic Hollywood sellout. He was begging for controversial Hawaii donations with Oprah (2 billionaires) in this economy where people don't have extra money for living expenses. He has all of you played, he's the biggest clown this industry has ever seen.
