I hope everyone complaining makes this easier to get for me and the ones who want it. I think it looks beautiful and as far as the zip line goes I think it was meant more for the MOC look.
It’s a SDCC exclusive, I’m good with this.

I think another factor as to why this lacks excitement for me is that this is the 4th time they’ve done WM12 HBK. And you can save the “but you can’t compare those to this…it’s UE…it has a zip line” arguments. I get that, but doesn’t change the fact that this look has already been done multiple times over. It’s nothing new and fresh that we haven’t already seen before.  And it gets its FINAL FORM of being an Ultimate! |

few thoughts assuming this is it.... Why are we seeing the SDCC Exclusive a month before SDCC? Is the world seriously THAT impatient? $45 is way too steep for something like this. a WM 12 Ultimate with the gear could have sold as a Target Legends one. The fact that it doesn't even come with a winged eagle is disappointing too Same head we've seen like 5x now and no alternate heads or hands? It just feels like they sunk 90% of the budget into this zipline thing that 40 people are going to find use for. Personally I'm keeping this one in the box anyway so yes it's a cool looking thing, but I'm not setting up dental floss across my ceiling so I can pose this HBK at the top of one of my bookcases, ready to fly across the room. It's a beautiful figure. Maybe there's more to it that we don't know yet? but none of the pictures are showing anything else....so I gotta assume no. Just feels underwhelming for a SDCC exclusive that's $12+ shipping more than a regular Ultimate Would rather have paid the usual $70 and gotten a 2 pack of that HBK and Bret (with his entrance gear) plus a winged eagle instead of them eating the budget on a pointless zipline harness It has additional heads and hands. The are additional photos than the 4 that keep getting posted. |

It was always Mattel who waited up until a week or two before. I guess with stuff leaking the last few years they wanted to get ahead of it. But I guess not that far ahead cuz it was leaked yet again. |

Could have honestly been one of those Amazon exclusives that they like to reveal on the morning of SDCC and I wouldn't have honestly batted an eye.
I don't feel like his ring gear colour on the hearts is 100 per cent accurate either.

I think it looks cool in packaging, the entrance gear looks great too. Now here are my critiques:
The scan with the open mouth has weird looking droopy ear lobes. He might as well have gauges.
The Flair torso just doesn’t work for Shawn, he never had a barrel/boxy like upper chest imo. Such a pet peeve… He was more chiseled/fit
I kind of don’t like that Mattel just leaves out the small mesh like detail insides the hearts for this version of Shawn. Some line work would of been appreciated
They need to stop retooling the smiling Ken sculpt, it just doesn’t look good
Zip line is a terrible accessory if it doesn’t come with the waist harness, it just kind of looks odd floating
Other than that, it looks pretty decent and I won’t be purchasing it.

I totally abide by different strokes for different folks, but just don't get all the criticism this figure is getting.
It looks fantastic. They tried going the more obscure route last year with Ali and it sold poorly, so it makes sense to reverse course with a more recognizable name - when it comes to pro wrestling fans of course - from a very memorable event.

I don't understand everyone complaining about not including a Winged Eagle..... Am I the only one who has about 30 Winged Eagles in a bin from all the figures that came with one over the last 12 years? I'm a bit surprised by all the criticisms on this - when I scoffed at the Ali exclusive last year I felt like I got bashed! I actually LIKE this one, just not sure I have the funds at the moment - - - and HBK isn't one of my key favorites. But the figure and the packaging look fantastic.  |

Does anybody know why on the OG entrance great, they made the reflectors on his entrance attire red and blue? Were they trying to convey it reflecting the colors of the arena? I kinda thought it looked better that way

Great choice. Iconic look for an Ultimate figure. Took this one to the next level with extra accessories. Looks great MOC.
Maybe not everyone's first choice considering its the fourth release of the look but I imagine this will be a hot seller.

Why should the winged eagle be included with the figure?! If the figure is predicated on the zip line, that means the sole focus is on HBK's ENTRANCE, when he did not have the title.

Well I'm going to counter that with all the complaints I've seen on here whenever Mattel uses a DIFFERENT sized box for Ultimates. That people's collections/shelves look messed up when they use a different size box. |

No one is asking that it be strapped to waste while ziplining but no reason why it can’t be included in the package. He comes with extra parts to display in multiple ways including post match. |
