So I just bought the new box set of ‘84 Hogan, ‘96 Rocky Maivia, Austin (looks like it’s from his ‘22 return, but I guess one could argue it’s ‘98 Austin too since he’s dressed the exact same), and heel ‘21-‘22 Becky Lynch. Now, I may never sell this set as I’m absolutely in love with it. But I did notice on the back along the bottom right side it looks like maybe someone dropped the box at some point. Nothing hugely noticeable whatsoever, nothing has been ripped, but the box’s material has what I suppose would be deemed an imperfection if one were searching over the condition with a fine-tooth comb. My question is, would this impact my ability to resell the item if I ever wanted to? My guess is that it’s probably too small to really affect anything (other than maybe creating a situation where my asking price goes down a few bucks). I would want to be honest and let the purchaser know about something like that. Thanks for any info! Oh, and to open this up into a discussion for the community at large, do you own any items still in box with small blemishes like that? I have OCD, but am trying to do better with accepting blemishes on everything I own, from magazines to books to figures. Life isn’t perfect, so I try not to expect that from my possessions.

When selling anything collectible it’s best to disclose any damage or imperfections, especially with eBay as they side with the buyer.

Agreed, and I'm fine with having to lower the price however many bucks if I need to. Do things with minor imperfections still sell altogether, though? I'm guessing so, assuming the buyer doesn't have an extreme case of OCD or anything, haha.

I’ve bought sealed stuff to open just to have mint figures for my collection. If I buy something to keep sealed, I look at the pics and ask for more if they use 1 front photo… My worst eBay experience to this day was buying DM Bret Hart(the original one) for like $70 shipped back in 2014/2015 and the seller telling me it was damaged when packaging it for shipment and refunded the money no further interaction. I have to think he got a better offer/felt juiced because those were just starting to creep up in price around then. That goes for $200-300 now…

I guess just like any other fan base of collectors, most buyers will allow for some imperfections as long as the seller is honest about everything.

Even tho it’s technically different I am so sick of seeing white lettered Austin 3:16 shirts. In 1998 he had a different shirt nearly every other week but seems like this is the only soft goods shirt Mattel ever wants to give him. (Yeah I know they did the WM27 shirt too).

Oh, for sure they need to do other shirts (I am also sick of the plain white Austin 3:16 lettering), but it being a Texas based theme on the back (I am from Texas), I am a little bit of a sucker for it That being said, I'd also love the following: Obviously, some censoring would need to occur in order for Mattel to release it, but I think those would be cool as well

It’s probably his 2nd most iconic shirt from that era. I also really want the yellow and orange 3:16 shirt from 2001. (Also just remembered they did SCU).

You shouldn't have too much trouble selling it with the damage. Just be upfront about it and you should be fine. A lot of collectors buy stuff with the intent to open it, it's just not going to be worth as much as one that's essentially mint without any damage is all.

The only moc I have with damage is a tru mail away Vince. But it kinda looks cool because it ms dusty and looks like it was on a warehouse shelf for a while so it reminds me of new old stock

I posted in the description that it had a ding on the corner and posted a picture. Just be up front and clearly state the defections and show a visual.
