Do we know if the deal Jesse signed includes merchandise, as Steve has mentioned before not all legends deals include the rights to make figures. I hope it does as I would buy a Jesse Ventura announcer figure in a heartbeat- he is the greatest commentator of all time IMO.
Jesse and Heenan. Both were the best and no one else has come close!
If asked to rank my favorite commentary teams, I honestly couldn't decide between Gorilla & Jesse or Gorilla & Bobby. Both teams were pure magic.

Agree 100%, although I think you have to include Gorilla Monsoon as well- he was the yin to Jesse or Bobby's yang.
These 3 were an integral part to the success of the Golden Era, without them and their commentary it would not have been the same and perhaps not been as popular as it was.

Agreed on that front too. Monsoon played the perfect “straight man” to their antics.

Mattel should get in gear and make a 2 pack with Gorilla for next years SDCC exclusive.

Agreed on that front too. Monsoon played the perfect “straight man” to their antics. Jesse and Vince were a better combo than him and Gorilla. He had too much respect for Gino so he didn’t lay into him as much as he did McMahon. You could tell the disdain he had for Vince and made for great commentary with him ripping him apart from time to time.

It'll be one of those deals that doesn't allow figures lol

I would not be the least bit surprised if this was a non figure deal lol, everyone jumping to conclusions that it is but until i hear confirmation I'm not getting my hopes up

For a big name such as Jesse Ventura to potentially be under a WWE legends deal but not under a WWE Mattel contract. There is something not right there. The people (hypothetically) are not doing their job.

Mattel does not make these deals. They are not in the negotiating room with Jesse and WWE working out the details. They have zero control on who gets sign or the type of deals that get. They can only suggest to WWE who they would like for them to pursue.

The classic case of someone not understanding of how the Mattel/ WWE relationship works. If it wasn’t for these types of posts or conversations, there would only be like one or two new threads a month.

So Hasbro has a say in who gets casted in Marvel and Star Wars movies? Mattel just license the IP and makes figures based on who’s available.

Hopefully he resigns with WWE and that includes a figure deal. Give me this in the Coliseum Collection line: And this in the elite Legends line: Anything after these two would be a bonus.

Again, there are different types of deals and not all of them allow for action figures so it’s gonna depend on what was negotiated.

It should cover all bases - merchandise, video games, super cards, action figures.

Steve played coy before when on the Fig night podcast, so I've got no doubt we'll get plenty of Body's.
