If Sting were to come back, and Flair were to follow (assuming his contract is a short term one), that would be a big bump for the MNW line. I could see that debut crow Sting being added to the MNW line instead of being put back into the Legends line.

I know they managed to squeeze one last figure with surf boy hair ric for elite 92

For sting heres my idea that warrants a ultimate edition Debut crow (wasn't that the figure that got canceled?) Starrcade 97 Wrestlemania 31 (you can bundle his robe and enterance shirt) Starrcade 87 Superbrawl 91/Halloween havoc 91 (notably known for his 2k15-2k20 appearances) His contract is about 2 years because of his woo energy drink partnership.

One thing I'd like mattel to do if sting resigns is add battle damage facepaint if he ever gets ultimate editions.

I'm not big on the WCW stuff as I was a WWF kid growing up but I'll take a figure of whatever era Sting was in the Ready To Rumble movie. Crow look but with the shorter slicked back hair instead of the shoulder length hair. Maybe it was in a small knot in the back, I'm not sure but man is that such an iconic look to me. Reminds me so much of Brandon Lee's Crow in this style of hair and facepaint. I still have the DM Sting unopened that I'm keeping as my only MOC figure ever.

I think he’s definitely staying after his ring career is finished. Don’t know what that’ll mean for his merch rights, but guessing he doesn’t sign a legends contract while with AEW.

I could see that debut crow Sting being added to the MNW line instead of being put back into the Legends line. I don't see Sting returning to the WWE umbrella while the Monday Night Wars line is in play - it'll probably only run for a year or so. While Sting is "retiring" I believe he is happy working with AEW and will remain there for quite a while..... I could see AEW doing something to piss off Ric Flair and then he decides to take his IP back to WWE, even if just out of spite.... Naitch gets impulsive & hot-headed sometimes..... I think he already threatened to leave once! However, the Mattel figure lines are planned a year in advance (at least) - Ruthless Aggression ran for about a year (late 2022 until late 2023)..... MNW will likely run early 2024 to early 2025...... and I figure the whole line must be already planned and being manufactured at this point.... So even in a "best case scenario" I don't see Sting or Flair coming back to WWE in time to be included in the MNW line.

I don’t know I can see him signing a new legends/merchandise deal because AEW has botched it. Other than the remaining overstock of the micro brawler there’s nothing retro Sting on shopaew. Just modern era stuff and he has to know there’s a big fan base/market for Surfer & WCW Crow Sting merchandise.

Ideally he would sign a Nostalgia Contract with WWE when his time in AEW is done. If he doesn't, I hope he signs with Powertown. While we haven't seen the finished product yet, their Remco line looks promising. I could also see some Major Bendies and Big Rubber Guys in the Sting's future. Sting would be a big get for those guys.

I just want some flashback Sting figures. I don’t want any Sting in stupid t shirts. Is there any reason why we haven’t gotten ANY singlet Stings from AEW? He wore a singlet there at least once, iirc. I don’t see him coming back to WWE in all honesty. I remember Scotty saying the deals were low, but who knows maybe Triple H or someone could give him a good deal. I just don’t think WWE figures are on Sting’s radar.

You know how we got so many Hogans over the past few years? That’s exactly what needs to be done with Sting if he ever becomes available again.
