I'm wondering now if maybe Roman will retain against Rock at 40, and drop the belts to Cody at 41. But how they keep Roman occupied until spring 2025? He's retained against basically everyone on the roster. Has he been on tv since last WrestleMania lmao

I actually like Roman. I think he's done well with what he has been given but, with that being said, he is not the GOAT, I wouldn't even put him in the top 10. Title reigns no longer matter, they are no longer dependent on drawing power (house show numbers) like they use to be. Even if he lasts until Summer Slam of next year, and passes Hogan's numbers, he still wouldn't be the GOAT. However, if he does make it to Summer Slam as the champion, that would mean he beat Cody Rhodes again, and that would make Rhodes a two-time loser, and put Cody in the same category as Lex Luger... right, CM Tusk???

Big Cody fan over here but yeah if he lets Roman beat him again, he’s not beating the bum allegations.

he's another guy with a severely tainted legacy of being forced over the people, even now. due to that, he can never really be in contention for 'greatest' of anything. cena also suffers from this. that's mostly wwe's fault and not the talent's though. Cena is wildly considered by most one of the greatest of all time. People still complaining about “lol Cena wins” are in the minority.

I love Savage, but most that didn’t grow up with him don’t give a damn about him. The only ones that think Warrior was great are the ones that have nostalgia for him. That’s where Cena benefits. He was on top, even part time, for a long while. He has a body of work most can look back on and find greatness in.

I don't know, Savage is still a big money maker, and it's been 24 years since he was an active wrestler, and almost 30 years since his last great run. Cena was forced down people's throats for a decade, with half the audience booing him out of the building. Not to mention, during Cena's reign, he took the weekly ratings from the mid 3.0's/low 4.0's, to the low 2.0's/high 1.0's. A lot of fans of wrestling stopped watching during his time. It's really sad that the WWE and some of their announcers are actually referring to him as the GOAT nowadays.

Roman is no doubt THE guy in todays era, but when you stack him against previous generations I don’t think he cracks the top ten. Maybe that’ll change in a few years depending on what he does and what he’s able to accomplish.

Yep cracking the top 10 is a very hard thing to do tbh, way too many great names on there but maybe one day he'll get there.

Top 10 biggest superstar in WWF/E history? Bruno Sammartino Andre the Giant Hulk Hogan Rowdy Roddy Piper Macho Man Randy Savage Ultimate Warrior Bret Hart Shawn Michaels Undertaker Stone Cold The Rock HHH John Cena Brock Lesnar Yeah, you can take 4 names off of there and Roman still wouldnt crack the list. I think you have to add Bob Backlund to the list since Sammartino is there...You could make an argument for Pedro Morales as well. Younger generations dont understand how over some of those old "territory" guys really were.

Im 40, never was a Cena fan...however if you have a mount rushmore of WWF/E Champions or WWF/E "faces"....You gotta put him there along with Sammartino, Hogan & Austin. The hardest thing for wrestling fans to do is to look at things objectively.
