Happy to see Sandman sold out. Waves of support for ECW in 2024 is pretty gratifying. Hopefully it leads to a lot more ECW guys I want. I might end up keeping this first one moc since it’ll be lower numbered and opening the other one. Going to have to feel that out.

Next June will be the 20th anniversary of the first One Night Stand and Hardcore Homecoming which seems…strange. So much has happened since then and yet it also feels like yesterday. There is a good chance damaged packaging will be posted at another time so maybe keep this one MOC and snag another at a later date?

I don't think it's giving Zombie a pass to say they are now mini-statues.
It's saying, these are no longer Hasbro-style. So either buy these statues, or don't. That's not a pass -- it's just accepting what's happened as the line has gone on.

That is a better question but not one that we are likely to ever have answered. None of us can figure out why Zombie Sailor lies so often. It could be that hustler mentality. Always make things look as grand as possible and then cover up anything that goes wrong. Sweep every issue under the rug and use distractions to change the conversation. I appreciate how transparent everyone is these days: The Major Bendies/BRGs, KWK, Epic, and for the most part FC (they work largely in silence but don’t run from problems). All we can do is speculate as to why he does what he does. At the end of the day, it’s about the figures I want in my collection (whenever they might arrive). You responded to my post, then hours later deleted it. I’m confused?

Hopefully there are some extra Cardona 2-packs. His figure looks great. I wish I picked it up the last time it was on sale but I really do not want that Gage guys figure.

Maybe Im alone with this but can we stop giving Heels and Faces a pass for not making these look like Hasbros? I myself have said in the past that it’s his company and he can do what he wants…but I’m pretty over the whole “it’s his own style.” That seems to be regurgitated effortlessly now which is such a low standard to keep. The narrative keeps changing. It went from a mission statement that these would be a “continuation of the Hasbros,” to “these are what Hasbros would be like if they existed in the modern age,” to “its his own style.” It makes Rudat drawings and that packaging style completely meaningless. Like if he wants to make them in the style he has been…why keep pretending? Calling everything else bootleg is laughable considering literally every one of his competitors is doing a better job at making it feel like a continuation of Hasbro. Completely agree with this, he got my buy in because he promoted Ron and the fact these were a continuation of the Hasbro line and I’d guess I’m in the majority there. It’s complete horse **** to just brush off his abandonment as ‘it’s his own style’ - if he had marketed these as his own style statues from the off then he wouldn’t have had the buy in from nearly as many people and wouldn’t have had the same backing and hype from the likes of Major pod. Hard to believe he’s put himself in a position to fall behind Mitch in terms of Hasbro continuation but that’s what he’s done. Mitch’s upcoming Macho figures look far more truly retro than the mania 7 ‘ornament’ that Zombie has coming.

To each their own, since we don’t play with these $40 figures aren’t they all just statues??? That WM7 Mach looks incredible to me! Is it not possible to just stop buying his figures if you don’t like them?

Is it not possible to just stop buying his figures if you don’t like them? Opinions is what we’re all here for right? I’m not petitioning for anyone to do anything with their money, as you say, to each their own. I’m just pointing out that in my view, many people who loved the Hasbro line were bought in off the back of that popularity which was blatantly marketed by Zombie, so for those of us who were, it sucks to have him move away from that and leaves us with less of a collection than we had hoped. I’m actually saying it sucks that I won’t be buying more of his stuff, I wanted to. I don’t think I am or will be alone in that thought process and he will lose custom over it. It’s an easy fix for him to return to those Hasbro style poses and hopefully he does but we all know how long it takes to get his product out and we’ve seen well into the future now and those poses are almost none existent for those coming up. Again, my interest in retro style figures is because of what the Hasbro line means to me, if they don’t fit in with that style then it doesn’t appeal to me, so the Macho doesn’t appeal to me - I don’t just blindly collect anything macho man, as much as I loved him. Mitch’s versions fit far more into what I want to collect so that’s where my money is more likely to go (final product pending of course).

The Nick Gage looks ATROCIOUS -- the proportions and figure are laughable. I can't imagine anyone pays $40 and feels good about that.
Same for Bruce Lee. What is up with the head, neck, and arm sizes? Where is Zombie's quality control??

I wasnt even aware he was making a Bruce Lee...that's kind of random. Looks pretty good but, I'm not a big Bruce Lee collector anyway.

sadly I've grown sour on ZST, and it's not because of the long-armed generic poses...it's primarily because of his carny-mentality - there's a fine line between promoting your product and lying to your consumer market constantly. I'll definitely pick up Abby to go with my Brody, and if he ever produces the Road Warriors by 2028 I'm game. But I'm good, was never a huge ECW fan so his ECW-heavy roster bares no interest for me.

I feel the same way. He needs to find someone else to deal with the public. The constant lying, sleazy sales tactics, and the awful way he treats his customers on social media are not a good look. I do like the figures still and will still pick up the ones I like. I really wish they would shorten the arms, but I am one of the few who prefer the generic pose to a jumper or clothesline Hasbro pose.

Yeah, me neither, and I even watched ECW pretty constantly too being close to Philly and all. But, that along with the attitude era to me, looking back were pretty crap. I like what Jerry Lawler use to say while fueding with ECW and calling Extremely Crappy Wresling lol. I really don't see why it has such a love and following yet. While WCW which really makes me warm and comfortable almost like the Golden Era of the WWF, seems to get next to no love. I think of what he has coming up soon, I'll probably end up getting Mr. Hughes since it sorta reminds me of a Ted Dibiase/IRS type body and the Hakushi, sorta looks like alot of the Mattel Retro poses. And those are 2 holes I really want to fill in the Hasbro line. But, I think everything else is a pass, would have liked Public Enemy for a WCW collection, but after seeing the body molds it's a huge pass now.
