So glad he's updated them, they look so much better. However, I don't think it should have to take us collectors to have to point out how poor they were to begin with. Should have known that himself straight away.

Should have known that himself straight away. The renders always looked good. It's when the prototype was shown it looked cheap. Hope this changed too....

Really disappointed with those Canadians, they look nothing like either of them even after the ‘updates’. I was hopeful Mitch was improving as MOM were decent (despite no gold) but these Quebecers are awful which is a real shame as they’re a good fit for extension of the Hasbro era.
Zombie already has MOM signed so I’ve no doubt they will be far superior when they eventually come outso Mitch’s are a placeholder for the orange card series. I was still hoping to be able to continue to support Mitch as his choices of talent are good, was also looking forward to the Rougeau brothers but assume they will be as bad as these Canadians so I could be out of grapplers and gimmicks all together.

As far as looking like and fitting in with Hasbro, I don't think ZST can top Mitch's MoM, personally. They might look great, but will they be more Hasbro-like than Mitch's MoM? I'd doubt it.

Yeah I didn’t find out until after I’d ordered MOM from Mitch, a bit of a bummer but at the same time, they look decent and at least it meant I can have a complete Orange card series. I’m guessing Zombie’s will be a little while yet with how much he’s got lined up next year. I don’t think they’re ALL listed but I believe most of who Zombie has signed is listed on his website so I will check that moving forward to try not to spend money on inferior product.

I haven’t bought any of the bootleg companies retro figures yet, but the Canadians look great. Liked the initial version, love the redo. A playable Mountie was always a Hasbro figure I wanted.

Will be interesting to see, they’re by far Mitch’s best figures but with Ron designing Zombies and having the shine that G&Gs don’t have, along with hopefully the correct colours, I think they’ll top them.

Yeah, if Mitch's had the proper gold paint they'd of been perfect. Sheen doesn't bother me as much, but would be nice too. I actually sold off my standard set in favor of the CC color variant as I found I like the colorful version better. And knowing Zombie is doing them at some point, and will probably do the proper gold and purple outfits. My only fear with Zombie is he'll vear too far from what the Hasbros should have looked like on the sculpts, his never stuff is looking too much like mini statues or miniatureized versions of Elites or something, but they don't look much like Hasbros at least in the stances. I mean, I'd be happy to see a jumper at this point. If only Mitch could get his quality up and consistent, he'd have the best Hasbro style figures by a mile.

until we see the final production figure, none of this artwork matters
Smoke Train looked good on the concept art - shame his production failed to deliver
each of his figures to date have still failed to meet the expectation set by the concept artwork, so he really needs to step up, especially after Epic have just released two knock-out sets of figures in PoP and Demolition - the next few releases will either show that Mitch is willing to invest in his product and deliver quality, or if he's going to sit back and deliver $30 figures of dollar store quality or below

Totally agree. Still waiting to see what production samples of the Quebecers will look like first before I take the plunge....

Totally agree. Still waiting to see what production samples of the Quebecers will look like first before I take the plunge.... the problem is, preorders are all done against concept art and early prototypes, not a final version of the figure - at least with the Mattel lines, we're able to see what the figures will look like (with a reasonable level of expectation that they'll turn out like the promotional pics) before we buy.
that's where a lot of these indy companies are failing - selling based on concept art, not the final version of the figure. and that's where I believe the community needs to drive the change, by not preordering based on artwork and demanding the manufacturers put their money into their products, to make a product that people will actually buy, and not get their hopes up, only to end up disappointed

Duke looks like he has the yellow godwinns face. I hope not wouldn't surprise me if he does, spending real money on this line is not Mitch's M.O.

Why don’t you just provide constructive criticism instead of the bs keyboard warrior rubbish you put in nearly everything you post. You have so much opinion, maybe you should step up and start your own line of figures. Your hate commentary is getting old.

Would you call out someone this way if you were sitting next to him at the bar? I own MOM, Godwinns and Savio. Passed on Godfather and Ahmed. All 5 look cheap. While MOM were allright despite the weird lines on the arms, just because finally having a MOM set is simply awesome, Godwinns had a significant drop in quality. I and others are willing to support smaller projects (don’t call them a company) and forgive issues that are typical for beginners as long as there is a constant evolution of the product. Mitch however appears to struggle with maintaining the (allright) quality of the MOM set with future releases. Add the constant scalping of his own line and the guy doesn’t come along like „one of us“ but more like a greedy clown people wonder if he is really support worthy.

I find it really frustrating that all these small startups are doing there best to launch a toyline and getting smashed from people who don’t step up and have a crack. I admit i have been derogatory towards Zombie sailor- he comes across as an absolute a*s. Mitch’s line isn’t perfect, and he probably has tried to release too many figures too quickly, but would you rather have 10 figures in 12 months with a few imperfections or 6 figures in 2 years that still have imperfections??? Also has anyone on here who criticises dealt with design, artwork, factories in china? Probably outlaying some money of his own while also probably working a job. For me, they are adding to our collections, giving us figures we all wanted. For pre orders, if you get onboard and take the risk based on concepts good for you, if they aren’t perfect, sh*t happens. If they are a hit and there is a demand after the release, why shouldn’t he make as much money as he can. I am the type of person who calls people out face to face… and britishbrickfan or whatever is a constant critic - criticise the product not the person and there morals, sorry that is a bully and a coward. I have no problem with constructive criticism of a product but constant ongoing cheap shots and character assassination is not ok. Wow what a rant, Merry xmas!!!
