Have a head from a non Mattel / Jakks figure. I've carved out the face part, but I need to make the hole that the peg goes in as right now its completely filled in underneath and inside the head.
The holes in the figures have that smaller hole that opens up to a larger hole so the peg, once squeezed in, cant squeeze out. How do you do that?

Sorry, I guess I should have.
Let me modify my question. What do customs makers use if the hole in the neck is too big for the head peg? Anything that I could put in there to fill out the neck hole, but allow the peg to still move around? I had thought of just some milliput but wasnt sure once it hardened if the peg would be stuck and stiff in the clay.
Hope that makes sense....I dont have a photo right now.

I've used Apoxy Putty. The trick is to put oil on the ball joint before you insert it into the head. You'll have to move the head every hour or so so that the putty doesn't harden around the ball joint. The head will never be removable, but you'll have ball joint articulation.

I've actually just used tissue/toilet paper/ paper towel for this and it works fairly well.

Messing around over the weekend, I actually plugged two small cotton balls in the neck hole, then inserted the head peg and it was a nice fit. Peg moves around like it would normally.
