Mine goes back a bit further than the 1990-94 time frame … I started watching the NWA in 1986 when I was 11 years old & I always wanted JCP to make figures of guys like Magnum & Dusty, Ronnie & Jimmy Garvin, The Rock n Roll Express & Midnight Express, Jim Cornette, the Four Horsemen & etc … it’s a laundry list of names … however, for some strange reason it never happened even though the WWF was riding high with their LJN figure line at the time & it was obvious that wrestling figures were popular sellers … I still wonder to this day, almost 40 years later, what they would have looked like & why they never produced any because they would have definitely sold even if just in the arenas

Diesel was such a missing piece from the hasbro era.
I also wanted Neidhart in his hart foundation gear

Yeah I used Jimmy Garvin as Diesel, with a marker pen tank top. Garvin also doubled as Cactus Jack. Peter Venkman in his brown suit from the Real Ghostbusters line was my Razor Ramon on account of his (vaguely) similar hair. I'm sure there's others.

Biggest wants for me were The Fabulous Rougeaus, Dino Bravo, POP, Power and Glory, Tito Santana, Beverley Brothers. Lot of tag teams. Also used to watch WM4 a lot and would have loved a Butch Reed, Muraco, OMG, Bad News Brown. Later on absolutely King of Harts Owen, Diesel, and basically all of the green cards which I never seen here (Ireland)

I liked tag teams. Powers of Pain, Beverley Brothers, Power and Glory, Orient Express, Quebecers and Heavenly Bodies would have been great if they were released. Diesel, King of Harts Owen Hart, Bob Baclund, Jerry Lawler were all big omissions as well.

Owen is still such a huge omission from the retro lines. To think we only ever got the New Foundation version is crazy, although I do really like that figure. An Owen is an Owen!
Come to think of it, considering how big the Bulldog was, it's odd that we never saw him again in the Hasbro line. I know he was fired and didn't return again til 1994, but how they didn't even muster up a repaint is weird, IMO.

As much as the post-Hasbro figures (like Diesel) were missed from my collection, the big one for me was Jerry Lawler since he had been around well before the end of the line. LOVE that Mattel have finally given us a Lawler figure, and in the right attire as well - I've been fighting the urge to break-out my Bret Hasbro and finally play-out those matches 9-year old dreamed about, starting with a ladder match for Macho King's crown

And I must admit it - the first thing I did when this retro series arrived was have a match between The King and The Hitman! 😂

Owen in his black attire was definitely a huge omission; especially when he could easily have been a part of the green series using exist molds like the Scott Steiner body with the Rocket head - which would’ve been a much better addition than the black/white yoko in my opinion. On the plus side, it’s a very easy custom to make, which pretty much anyone could make easily enough.

Still plan to put some decent decals on it at some point though!
