Now that they updated the Basic legs, I would love this for the right people. Aside from deco-heavy suited guys like Jimmy Hart (and even some of his would be fine as Basics), I don't feel like most suited guys/managers need all the bells and whistles. It'd be cool to get some of the divas/women this way, too. A $12 Jaqueline or Ivory is easier to justify than a $22 that just comes with a women's belt. Howard Finkel as a standard release and not a BAF is an easy $12 purchase.

Jacqueline, Ivory, Tori, Jackie Gayda... they'd all be great fits here. That Xia Li figure shows just what they are willing to do with the women's basics and I feel like if they gave us even a little bit of sculpting on them, they'd sell really well. And yeah, again, suited basics are already a thing, start giving us the legends.

I think it's a better way to sneak in some more talent and maybe better slot some looks they want to do without taking an elite spot. There's been some great suggestions in here already on ideas that probably work better as a basic than they do as one of 16 elites they can offer us a year. If they're going all in on Legends at Target with the UEs being quarterly releases, I'd be interested to see how many basics they would take.

2-3 years ago I would have loved the idea, but I doubt it will happen at this point. We've pretty much gotten everything we've asked for in this line when it comes to currently signed talent. There's only so many more Legends figures they can give us before the line runs dry. If they start making basics now it will just speed up the process. Just my opinion.
That packaging looks amazing, though.

Suited guys, sure, but there's no way they're doing an entire wave of just suit guys.
I feel like Mattel would do a unique look im Basics and that's that (I could be wrong). For example, I don't see that Hogan in blue getting an Elite anytime soon. I'd rather Legends get the Elite treatment.

Nah, I'll pass.
Besides, as a Canadian collector my heart couldn't handle seeing another US retailer exclusive line not be available in my country.

Only if that is the only way to get some talent out in the line.

No thanks. No need to waste cool attires on basics. They do that enough as it is.

No for me. I don’t want to have to collect another line. Just give me early 90’s Steiners in Elite form so I can retire already.

This concept wouldn't be something new because we already had basic flashback series. Another great line killed by Walmart. I forgot about this line..... and I liked it a lot. So, YES, I guess I would like a Basic Legends Line!

I don't collect basics, but I wouldn't mind the line if they kept it to pretty plain attire and suited figures. Might be a good spot for managers and to get more women out (let's face it, they aren't going to release tons of elites of Stacey, Molly, Torrie, etc.).
I'm actually all for Target shifting to a full Legends line (ultimates, elites, basics, top picks/talent, retros).
I doubt that would happen tho. I'm not sure how Neca and Funko get tons of shelf space and that stuff seems to never move.

I’d be all for it. Loved the Walmart exclusive Flashback and TNF lines in their time. I think it would be a perfect way to get out more street gear versions of popular Legends.

Well dang, though, with updated basics, the line could be more of a hit.

Not as a separate line, but I would like to see more legends in basics. Particularly managers. There’s no need for a Paul Bearer doll to be an elite figure. Same for Bobby Heenan, Mean Gene, commentator Vince etc.
