Maybe someone should ask Ciampa. Wasnβt he a lawyer in his first wwe appearances way back when? Clearly HE would know!?

I have also said there where early reports that punk told tony he quit. So maybe he was looking for a reason to get fired. The problem is you got these evp's that stirred the pot and help create problems with punk. That really makes the company and the owner look very bad. It negatively affects ratings, and could sway talents from not coming to aew. So i will wait to see what punks says, and if you do not hear him say anything for several months or at all you know what is up. That means tony reached a settlement and paid him off, and the trade off was to not talk bad about aew. Let me also say that punk did not handle the perry incident the right way. He also has a right to defend himself if someone comes after him.

Dude there where reports punk was going to state his side of things and the has not happened yet. So what changed ? Maybe something going on in the backround. Its without question that Punk signed at least an NDA about his time with AEW, probably even a few other agreements. He had time left on his deal and this firing came with the understanding that he gags on AEW. Please realize anything that AEW or TK has said so far has gone through an extensive legal process. Its had teams of lawyers review every line before its made public. Tony Khan cannot say "my life was in danger" while there are CCTV recording all over Wembley, unless there was some merit to it. Legal would not let AEW announce that he is "fired with cause" unless there was something that without a doubt was a fireable offense coming from him. I'm not one that is picking a side between "Team Punk" and "Team Elite" but I think AEW has Punk by the balls as far as litigation can go. I also think the situation is very telling that there is a clear line in the sand, and really no one NEEDS to take a side publicly. Yet, many many AEW talent have something out there that makes it clear which side their on. Very few of them are Team Punk. You can call that AEW brainwashing its talent if you'd like but its substantial to the overall locker room appeal to this all. Punk's name was attached to causing problems with some very liked people in AEW, and plenty of beloved AEW talent want nothing to do with CM Punk.

Wait, wait, wait ... are you telling me that TK took the time to check in with lawyers and look at tape before he appeared on TV? That's crazytalk. I bet his lawyers said, "Punk can sue you so bad!" And the tape surely showed Punk didn't come within 10 ft of him ... but old cokehead TK did the TV bit anyway!

I say that to say, I don't believe this situation is as hearsay as it seems to many. I don't think the true situation behind all of this shakes out to a "his story vs my story" situation. People were quick to blow off TK when he made the "feared for my life" comment. But thats a very serious statement and the situation he is referencing was probably caught by multiple camera angles. He would have been advised against saying that unless the evidence is damning. Also IDK what you are talking about.

...apparently, this firing will cost Punk millions. And if he feels it was unjustified or he was pushed too far, there will absolutely be a lawsuit. Then there's also the possible defamation of character issue - for TK to publicly say he feared his "life was in danger" makes Punk sound psychotic and unhinged, which could affect his future earnings (not just with wrestling, but acting too). So yeah... this could all easily end up in court. Again, that is TK's opinion though. Punk has money, he was/is not counting on the money AEW was going to pay him to survive. Nor would a small scuffle in wrasslin affect his acting career. I'll put my account on the line and not make a new one if there is a lawsuit. ...if a person's former boss/employer said he feared his life was in danger (because of that person), I would think that would put off a lot of future/potential employers(?).

somehow pointing out that fantasizing about imaginary lawsuits with no legal backgrounds is silly equates to being a Tony Khan mark.
