Over the past few months the prices for figures have gone way up to the point where it’s ridiculous. American collectors spend $20odd for an elite and $30odd for an Ultimate. In Australia a mainline elite minimum is $45 if you wait until a distributor gets them, if you want them immediately you’re paying around $80 which is just plain stupid. A mainline ultimate is $70 minimum Now here’s where the prices get even more ridiculous, store exclusives from Target and Walmart are insane, the new release Ruthless Aggression ultimates of Brock and RVD are currently 200 ing dollars because there’s only 2 people in the country who sell them and they both price gouge, Eddie and Rey are $150 each. Target exclusive legend elites are currently $80-$100 each, Walmart RA elites the same prices, 4 pack then now forever together pack is also $200. It’s just stupid Elites should be no more than $35, Ultimates $55, I’m happy paying a little bit extra because we are overseas but in no world are these prices acceptable I sincerely hope the people selling these figs end up going broke and someone new steps in because it’s complete bs. Is there a way Mattel can make it easier for big distributors to get these store exclusive figures specifically to eradicate these scalpers from overcharging insane amounts

Totally agree mate, but it has always been this hard for us.
If you import any fig (from e-bay or RSC) by them time you pay postage and exchange rate it works out to be very close to the online prices going around.
The fear of missing out is the driver here, that along with incels who do not have families, mortgages or anything else that costs money in their lives (as well as very wealthy collectors).
Target said we weren't buying them so they are mostly stopping them. Big W doesn't carry WWE anymore Kmart is long gone and fusing with Target apparently (hopefully they bring them back) Casey's Toys do have some but they get a load of the same series for like 6 months at a time. Just confused as to how JB Hi Fi is not carrying any WWE figs now being a big action figure retailer.
However it is still just a stupid joke how expensive this hobby has become, getting a full series should not cost you a week's wage.

Popcultcha is really the only good way to get figs at a reasonable price, they have 20% off sales where you can get newer figs for $38 and ultimates for about $55 but sometimes their stock is unpredictable and they don’t get everything from the mainline in, so you’re risking waiting and hoping they get everything in The Target and Walmart exclusives are just ridiculous, I’m not paying $150 for an ultimate or $100 for an elite, unless it’s something ultra rare Mattel really need to make a way for overseas customers to buy these figs either directly from them or distribute them to places like Popcultcha because these scalpers especially Mash Toys and Wrestling Store Australia are charging stupid prices

The only way to get what you want for a decent price is to live in a large US city it seems. Canada has similar problems to what is described here.

Issue in Australia is the series they do get are random and way later than RSC so waiting is likely to get you 10% of what you actually want.
Mattel creations selling overseas only is our only real hope of getting close to what the US gets. Why they can add customs to a crowd fund but not open and international page that doesn’t conflict with US stores I’m not quite sure.
