I have a couple Backlash figures from series 2 but they don’t seem to have any BCA actions. They have the holes and are built like a regular BCA figure though. Is this normal? When did they stop making them with the BCA? Where can I read more about that?

Yes, there is no ”Bone Crunching Action” for the original Backlash line. That process of removing the inner mechanism (likely to save on costs during production) began for the BCA figures in ‘98 with some of the offshoot series such as Special Edition and Shotgun Saturday Night. After that, many series went without it. I want to say maybe half of the line doesn’t have it, but I don’t have a list handy at the moment. I’ll attempt to compile one soon.

I have a few BCA's from the regular line with no Bone Crunching.

I loved BCA's but I never ever used the gimmick they had.
WCW Figure actions I liked for the most part except like DDP, but the BCAs I don't recall ever even testing the cracking sound. Made me feel like they would fall apart lol

I could never make the sound when they hit Australia and this might be the reason. Imagine learning this 30 years later.
