Hi folks,
Loved the Big Boss Man growing up and just recently got it into my head to get a side handle nightstick to display among my rasslin' collection.
Found a place that sells a nightstick like he used, reasonably priced and looks the part:
However, they won't ship outside of the US. So I figured I'd go looking for someone to buy it for me and send it over to me (helloooo classifieds section). Thing is, I can see on their site that they can't/won't ship to New York or California, but it doesn't say anything about anywhere else. The website doesn't say anything about needing to be in the Police/Army/etc to buy from them, and everything is publicly priced in a way that it looks like any randomer can just buy off them, but I'm not sure if that is actually the case or not?
Before I waste my time chasing to see can I get someone to get it for me, i just thought i'd ask if I was wasting my time in the first place? (I know it's not a knife or gun or such, and it's just a stick, but at the same time, some places have odd rules on what is and is not an "offensive weapon" so just thought I'd ask).
Cheers folks

Yup. That's the beauty about living in the U.S. Hell, I can go up the road to the truck stop & get Chinese throwing stars, assorted fireworks, pepper spray & "tobacco pipes".

I lived with a girl in Detroit back in 2000. She took me to a place called "Gibraltar Trade Center." HO LEE FUK. I couldn't believe the weapons I was seeing for sale. I was expecting the guns, but the amount of and variety of hand to hand combat weapons BLEW MY MIND. And it all costed basically nothing. I bought the Bossman night stick and an ASP (telescopic night stick) an Italian Stiletto, Out The Front Stiletto, Butterfly Knife, and several throwing stars, including Batarangs (Batman's throwing stars).
It was when I got the brass knuckles where things got funny. They were brass knucks but there was a little pin that screwed into the side. I asked the guy what the pin is for? He told me, "Brass knuckles are illegal. I'm not allowed to sell brass knuckles, so I sell this paperweight." Then he unscrewed and took out the little pin and said, "These are brass knuckles. I'm not allowed to sell this." Screwed the pin back in and said, "This is a paper weight. What you do with this paperweight and that pin is up to you."
NONE OF THAT sounded legit, but ultimately the legalities didn't matter to me because paperweight or not it was illegal in Canada either way, along with the knives. So I bought myself a "paperweight." Best thing I bought was a Ballistic Knife. A knife with a button that fires the blade. It was accurate up to 15-20 feet and the blade shot out at 30mph. Sadly I was a stupid 20 year old when I bought it. I was back in Canada 6 months later with my friends and it didn't last long after we started shooting it anything we get our hands on.
I've been to Flea Markets in Canada that have throwing stars, daggers, swords, night sticks etc. That stuff is all legal here though. The crazy shlt I saw in Detroit is really hard to get. All spring action knives are illegal here. You know, because a blade that "pops" out of the handle is much more deadly than a perfectly legal butcher knife.

I remember Gibraltar well. A friend of mine I used to trade autographs with attended their autograph shows. We did trades for autographs and he would always be bringing me 8x10s of Detroit Tigers I've never heard of and had no interest in.

I got one for free. I was doing asbestos removal at a police station and um "found" one behind a file cabinet.

back in senior year of high school(a century and a half ago), i bought a wood nightstick at my local army navy store. i was there with my buddies just looking around and saw it in the glass case alongside all kinds of knives, brass knuckles, etc. there were no questions asked when i pointed at it and said "i'd like to buy that nightstick please". i also bought my somewhat illegal butterfly knife there. army navy stores are awesome haha

I was at my girl's house later that night. We were on the couch watching TV and I was practicing. Thing slipped out of my hand and flew about 2 inches across the front of her face. That was the first ever "look" I got from a girl where I knew I JUST F#CKED UP. She ended up going to bed, and I slept on the couch.

I've only ever been to his house. Is there a ratty area there I didn't know about or is the Gibraltar selling weapons in a nice area of town? I was going to try a Reservation around Hamilton but if sketchy is available I'd have no problem heading to London.

East end London is definitely sketch, but I haven’t been to that market in years so can’t verify it any more
