My figure collecting took a pause from 99-2019, so I missed most of Jakks after BCA, but now have a solid collection of 350+ Mattel WWE figures displayed loose by eras (WCW, Golden, New Gen, Attitude, Ruthless, PG, “Network”? 2014-2019, and a current era). I’d like to fill some of the gaps of big names missing from the Mattel line and started looking at some of the later years of Jakks, specifically Classic Superstars and Deluxe Aggression. Some of the Jakks bodies don’t look anything like the Mattel line, but I’d go to start collecting the ones that could fit right in. Who might you recommend you that look like they could pass as a current day Mattel Basic or Elite?
I’ve seen Carlito’s and Chris Master’s that look pretty good, as well as Great Khali that could pass as a basic. What about the legends? Thanks!

If you are mixing Jakks RA with Mattels, the only ones that would work would be guys 6'7" and above and that's if you dont have their Mattel figure.

Don't mind the blur, it is an old photo. Too lazy to pull all these out and take it again.

Jakks and Mattel's are hard to be compatible, but it also depends on how strict you are with how your collection looks. Because Jakks body molds were generally the same on every figure, size and weight weren't taken into account like they are with Mattel. Plus I think the Mattel body's are all thinner and less bulkier than Jakks, so it's tough when guys like Rey Mysterio are all as tall and muscular as they are compared to Mattels figures.
It really all comes down to how you collect. If it doesn't bother you, then go for it.

Some R3’s work. But the are leaner so they need to be mixed in the back so you don’t see their skinny limbs. Also the larger R3’s like Rikishi work. For a while I had guys like Angle, Benoit, Hardy’s, Test, Kane and Jericho on my shelves until Mattel released their versions. Or I decided I didn’t want certain wrestlers on my shelves (Test & Rikishi)

For me, I prefer Jakks figures for the larger old-school era guys. Andre, Studd, Akeem, BossMan, etc. Their Jakks figures give them a better size look and to me look good standing with Mattel figures for more normal sized guys.
