This. And they're not even "evil". I'll assume that's what Triple S thinks or wants from them. Heels show respect from time to time. It happens. Spitting mist in people’s faces. Yeah, they’re not “evil”. The House of Black are heels, bad guys. Usually bad guys don’t show respect after losing, unless there’s a change of character. Is Asuka evil? Was Great Muta? No.
Sometimes bad guys go off script. You'll be fine.

Going off script would be a *gasp* explanation. Hence, ya know, asking the initial question of why they did it. Reading is FUNdamental.

Here’s my thing. I can understand not being a fan of Punk. I can understand not being a fan of all the drama that surrounds him. I can even understand those that don’t want to watch him. What I don’t understand is the people claiming he is ruining the company. How exactly? He’s not effecting the weekly product. Outside maybe the few weeks Omega and the Bucks weren’t on tv. Outside PPVs, he’s really on one show a week. A show that was basically created for him and arguably has been the best weekly show. If he’s such a locker room “cancer” (stupid terminology), why are there so many people in the locker room willing to work with him still and singing his praises in interviews? From this instance if we are believing dirt sheets, the whole thing started simply because he didn’t want Perry to use real glass due to real possible dangers and Perry took offense. Then waited till the biggest show the company has ever had to publicly take a shot about it. It's a bunch of weirdos IMHO, man. Safe room snowflakes. EVERY locker room in EVERY sport has players get in it from time to time. It's normal. Not healthy, but it's normal. If it weren't for social media, we'd have never heard about Punk's little hissy fits. And good god, if social media were around in the 80s and 90s and early 00s we'd have many, many stories like this. I don't see why some guys on here are freaking out like it's the most crazy thing of all time. BIG F'N DEAL ... Punk and Perry argued and shoved. Life goes on. In a day they'll no longer be angry.

It's just funny you never heard stories of him doing this in WWE. Social Media wasn't as in your face 24/7 like it is now when he was in WWE. He very well could've had some "fights". In fact, I'm sure he did. I'm sure many guys in the locker room have had to settle their issues face to face.

I just watched a media scrum where MJF, Tony Khan, Penta and OC were kayfabe for 95% of it. Please stop. 🤣🤣🤣

Lackluster and boring card all around. Thankful I didn’t spend money on this mess. Hard to choose a highlight, entertained the most by the Mjf/ac scrum but evil mjf need to make a major comeback

No matter how you spin it, a company other than WWE being able to put on a show at Wembley is a big W for the business in general. The show was alright at best. Hopefully next year they actually give us some proper dream matches at this event.

It's just funny you never heard stories of him doing this in WWE. He’s always been super entitled. I remember plenty of those stories lol calling a locker room meeting when he was brought up to the ECW brand when the locker room was full of vets with more experience because he thought he was a big star and then floundered for a good while. I used to like the guy a lot but he’s always been a self centered prick

Better Than You Bay Bay VS Aussie Open - I saw a "Kangaroo Kick." That was good enough for me.
Jack Perry VS Hook (NO DQ) - I didn't want Jungle Man to lose. He's a much bigger deal than Hook. They should have done something where he LEGIT retired the belt. They don't need it. I liked the suplex and Rolling Thunder on the limo. As soon as I heard Perry make the "Cry me a river" comment about the glass I wondered if there would be a problem and sure enough.......... Was Luchasaurus at the Collision where this glass thing started? I'm wondering if Perry felt more comfortable speaking up knowing he had some large backup with him tonight? Grow the fek up though. These man children keep saying what should be said behind the curtain in front of the camera or on their computers. It's pathetic that Tony allows it, but it's also pathetic that they do it because they know Tony is a pushover.
CM Punk VS Samoa Joe - "BEST IN THE WORLD AT BEING A B**CH" sign in regular plain sight for this match. This was awesome. The swing by Joe that sent Punk through the bottom of the announce table looked savage. It's AEW though so I'm surprised a cameraman didn't climb under there to catch Punk blading. Punk doing the Hogan leg drop and then having Joe kick out and "HULK UP" was fun. I kind of thought the ending was a little flat but definitely a solid opener. I never tire of the Samoa Joe "walk away" spot.
Omega/Page/Ibushi VS White/Robinson/Takeshiita (<--- Let's see if that beats the censor) Early in the match JR is talking to Don Callis about Takeshiita and says, "Back in the day this kid never failed to please you.............................................................." SOMEONE GET SCHIAVONE READY. Omega did a chop "ping pong" spot with Juice Robinson and Robinson sold it great. The guy is so good at that character. Kenny Omega did a dive in this match and it took longer than the flight over from America. I thought things were going well until the end when everyone ended up in the match and things kind of fell apart. I really don't know who Ibushi is but he moves in slow motion. Of all the Japanese guys to come over, Takeshiita is the best one buy a mile.
FTR VS Bucks - FEAR THE REVOLVER sign front and center. Haha. This was so fuggen good. I really had no idea who was winning so all the close falls had me. It was awesome. There was one point where Dax had his back turned and the Bucks laid out Cash and Dax knew what was waiting for him when he turned around. He sold it for like 10 seconds just staring like AH FUG and then just manned up and turned and ran into the guaranteed beatdown which ended up being a Big Rig. AWESOME spot. These teams are gold together. Bucks not shaking hands means there will more to this feud down the road.
Stadium Stampede (NO DQ) - This had some good spots but was a cluster to follow. The skewer spot looked hideous. The piledriver by Mox on Trent on the stairs looked dangerous as all hell. That entire tables/ladder spot with Penta and Claudio(?) is going on Botchamania. The Penta outfit change was stupid, the fake broken glass was stupid, and what was with the barbed wire? Does the UK not have any? One strand of barbed wire wrapped around a chair. One strand of barbed wire on a board. One strand of barbed wire on a kendo stick. Is there a shortage over there or something? The loud chant for "Sue" got a chuckle out of me.
Shida VS Britt Baker VS Saraya VS Toni Storm (NO DQ) - I actually thought the way they had Toni Storm accidentally turn on Saraya was great here. Accidentally punching her mom in the face and then falling on and almost pinning Saraya after getting superkicked by Britt was a really good way of causing strife. Saraya sold it great that she was mad after Storm hit her mom. I don't understand the booking though. It was good for Saraya and the home crowd, but why did Shida just recently win the title only to lose it here?
Coffin Match (NO DQ) - Tony Khan buys Stings old entrance music for the big show. Good stuff. This was a good match. Darby brings out the thumb tack jackets and Sing does 2 Stinger splashes and doesn't even use the back of the jacket that is covered in tacks. Haha. Darby's hands taped behind his back Lionsault looked awesome. Sting not breaking the table and then breaking the table was awesome. Sting no selling the chair shot was awesome. Darby's Coffin Drop from the top onto the coffin looked nasty. And Swerves dreads were sticking out of the top of the coffin. I think TECHNICALLY he may have an argument for the match being unfairly stopped.
Chris Jericho VS Will Ospreay - I don't need to hear Jericho sing himself to the ring ever again. I didn't think there was anything special here but I thought it was a good match. I liked the finish with Jericho knowing he was dead in the water.
Acclaimed VS House of Black (NO DQ) - Caster's rap fell flat. He had a line about Prince Andrew that got a nice reaction and nothing after that. I was hoping for some kind of Julia - Aubrey catfight but scissoring Julia made up for it.
Taz: "Right in the yam bag." Nigel McGuinness: "Right in the WHAT?
Hahahahaha. I laughed so hard at that. I did NOT want to see House of Black drop those titles.
MJF VS Adam Cole - This was an awesome match. MJF gets the "SPORTSMANSHIP" chant going and then pokes Cole in the eyes on the handshake. The backdrop on the stairs looked disgusting. I liked the finish with Cole not taking advantage of the downed ref and it costing him. These guys really work well together. I liked the post match stuff. I'm glad they're sticking together.
Overall this was fantastic show. No idea what kind of fallout we'll get from Punk and Perry but I won't let it detract from the success here. I'm giving Match of the Night to FTR VS The Bucks. Excellent match.

One person who doesn't get enough credit for the success of AEW is Vince McMahon. His ineptitude towards talent & creative gave AEW a pleathora of top free agents that became invaluable to the company's launch & further success. McMahon basically did so badly, he inadvertedly created AEW.
So when we look back & thank people for making this promotion what it is today. And being able to grow enough to do a show like this. Let's not forget to thank Old Man McMahon. Who is probably laid up at home recovering from injury. Get well soon Vince. Hopefully you can come back & work your magic again.

I enjoyed all of it besides the Stadium Stampede crapshow and the repeated cuts to Botcha Banks. Wasn't a fan of Saraya winning just for a hometown pop when she will hardly be able to defend it in the way others have with her injury history and safe style but that's just a difference in booking tastes. The show was well done. The two pre show matches were some of my favorite of the night. Love Jungle Boy being a pr-ck even if it meant he got choked out backstage lol. The main event was the MOTN for me but Jericho/Ospreay was good and so was Punk/Joe. Made sense not to end it with a GTS after all the punishment he took during the match so loved that ending. The coffin match was awesome, still think Swerve's dreads hanging out should have counted as not being closed all the way 😂 #Justice4Swerve and poor Allin is going to need to add some pins and screws to that spine tattoo after the beating it took in that match. All in all, fun show. Bonus points for not having Sammy booked.

Another huge ppv ends with weird controversy surrounding BM Phil. I still agree with him about the glass, but there’s a reason people don’t like the prick. People aren’t just being a-holes to him because they’re a-holes. There’s a reason Hangman didn’t like him, there’s a reason that this Jack Perry thing turned violent. He may be right, but if you’re a dick about it you’ll have to expect pushback unless you’re some type of narcissist….oh wait, that I almost forgot who we were talking about here. Jack was being petty, but I don’t think he’d have sent that very public message (that admittedly made me laugh) if Phil had approached him respectfully and non-condescendingly.
Either way, the person to blame is Tony Khan. He has no business making any decisions. He’s a money mark. AEW needs a GOOD booker to write the storylines and a Bill Watts type in the back to keep everyone in line. Here we are again after a big show talking about drama surrounding Cancer Man Punk.
Cole and MJF is arguably the hottest thing in wrestling right now. It was smart to keep it going, especially since the Bloodline story is really starting to run out of steam from a booking perspective. Too bad the ending was kind of underwhelming, but it’s certainly not the worst way that an AEW ppv ended.

Lmfao cry baby punk in the headlines again and now seeing reports say he may actually be “done” with AEW this time.
Where’s Taker taping his fists in gorilla when you need him. Seriously, get off the blow Tony and control the damn locker room.

Lmao This circus show continues 😅 and to think they want to build a show around one of these clowns. And this is coming from a huge fan of CM punk back in the day. Only reason I care for Him around now is eventually figures - that’s it. At this point, considering the locker room already runs the place I don’t see why they don’t jus work to get him out of there.
