Apparently something happened with the WWF Hasbro wiki. I’m trying to find information on when waves were released. For examples: series 3 consisted of 12 figures but I don’t believe all 12 shipped at once.
Can someone here please help clarify the order in which everything was released?

Well, like Series 1 and 2, Series 3 was also technically 2 assortment packs of 6 each. Don't remember off the top of my head how they were divided, but you should be able to find the toyfair cataloug images fairly easily and they'll have them displayed by assortment. And despite most people calling Bossman #2 part of Series 3, he was actually shipped with Series 4 and is also pictured as such in the catalogs. I'm also pretty certain Warrior was never packed with Series 3 in the US and was actually in later shipments of Series 4, at least that's when I found him when my TRU has just unpacked a bunch of Series 4, which was also the first time I saw Bossman #2, as I don't remember seeing him the first time I found Series 4. I think earlier cases were just Bret, Taker, Bulldog and Dragon. I'd also love to know if we have any record of when pink or purple heart Bret was in cases. I lean to the pink being earlier and then purple since the mailaway was the same figure and that would have been after Series 4 was done shipping.

I specifically remember seeing Bossman #2 for the first time the day I got the British Bulldog, who I was also seeing for the first time. Crazy that I remember that.

Yeah, if anyone has any info, or links to sites with, more specific info related to case assortments, figure shipping, etc., I'd love to see it. All sites just kind of have them generally grouped together by series, but a more specific breakdown would be great, and would help explain why certain figures from some series are tougher to get, etc..

I think people lump Bossman into S3 because he's on the back of the cardbacks in the line art. But, if you look at any MOC Bossman #3, you'll notice, Bret, Bulldog, Taker and Dragon are on the backs of those cards. Wonder if they just plugged him onto the cardbacks because they had one more slot to fill out and they figured he was a guy still with the company, had a figure that would be out soon enough, and in most areas you could still find his S1 figure in stores.

Yeah, I think people put him with Series 3 because he is listed on the back of the cards of all the other figures from Series 3. I wonder if he was originally going to be released with the Series 3 figure, but something happened with distribution or production, and he wasn't released until some of the Series 4 figures started hitting shelves. I can't remember, but was he shown with the other figures of Series 3 when they did the commercial? I remember him being with the Series 4 figures, but so too was Hogan from S3. I was looking for a promotional shot of the Series 3 figures, but I couldn't find one with all of the figures from that wave. Here is a picture of the Series 4 figures and Boss Man is included. Also, look at Bret's glasses, they appear to be striped with pink and white, very strange.

Also worth noting the ring does not appear to have an indent for the sticker nor the sticker itself.

Interestingly they don’t give the actual move names either from the card but the mechanism, these are obviously well into development so they must’ve had an idea for the names

Yeah, I can't seem to find one with all of them in one picture, which is strange because I can find all other waves/series. From the images you have, it looks like they're missing Brutus #2 and Sarge. That Tornado looks cool, kind of wish that's how his tassels looked for the mass-produced figure. Probably my favorite year of releases from Hasbro: Hogan 3, Savage 3, Brutus 2, Warrior 3, Tornado, Perfect, Hammer, Bossman 2, Bret, Taker, Steamboat, Bulldog, LOD, Nasty Boys, Natural Disasters, Koko, and Sarge, just a great set for the year.

Interesting. Now the question is, what is everyone's favorite assortment wave? Even though it's only 5 figures, whereas many of the others have 6 figures, I'm going to go with 1992 Asst 3 (Bret, Bulldog, Bossman, Dragon, Taker), all great figures. 2nd place would be 1994 Asst 1, red card wave. Strange, they both have Bret and Taker in them...

There were alot from these sets that were really hard to get though. Nastys I only ever saw at retail one time, and couldn't get them at the time, had to buy them from figures inc. a couple years later. LOD I only remember seeing once too. And Slaughter and Koko took a while for someone to find them for me. Warrior was a nice surprise and they had tons of him the same time I saw Bossman #2 for the first time. Don't know if he was hard to get in my area, maybe I just got lucky being there right after they put them out. Beefcake too for whatever reason seems super rare. I'm having a heck of a time finding one MOC in good shape. Did snag him the first time I saw the series though, wasn't paying attention to who was on pegs later on once I already had them.

Yeah, some of the figures in series 3 and 4 were kind of hard to find. It may have something to do with WWF changing a lot of talent in 1992 and 1993 when the figures were released. I wonder if some of the figures only got a few runs/productions. I never saw LOD and the Nasty Boys in stores. And Warrior and Koko didn't seem to be around a lot. In fact, I only remember seeing Warrior once in stores, I picked up Texas Tornado instead. I already had the other two Warriors, and I figured I would see him plenty of times after that, his other two figures were plentiful. The tag teams of series 4, series 7 and the final series were the only ones I don't remember seeing in stores. I didn't even know that series 11 (green card series) was even a thing, I don't even remember seeing an ad in the old WWF magazines which is the place I would get information on upcoming figures.

These are still cool to see. Geez, look how tan that Series 5 Hogan is, I don't remember his figure being that tan. Same with Sid.
